These years I saw many products containing gold have come out, ie chantecaille nanogold, LP Concentrate Pure Gold. As gold is very stable, then,
How could such a stable element to treat skin?
and
If the gold ingredient goes into the skin, how can we get rid of this stubborn HEAVY METAL? Is it harmful or even can cause cancer?
Besides, I heard there were two lotions from La Mer using silver ingredients as a preservatives (I am not sure). Is it harmful? |

| I guess Gold is rich in its mineral contents. If they say that mineral is good for your skin, then same goes to gold. |

So you mean gold works as a "mineral"? Well, I think gold is too stable to do anything good to the skin. |

| Many years ago I used a skin care cream that contained "Gold" but I cannot remember the name of the product. It was a nice cream but nothing remarkable happened and I never repurchased. I don't know the percentage of actual gold in it either. I just remember not being very impressed. |

i bought a bottle serum contains gold.you actually can see them in the clear gel-liquid.good to look and very good to keep my skin moisten.the gold foil sorb into skin so fast since they are very very thin.
too price(about $100/30ml).so i finished my second bottle and never purchase again. |

So the gold basically helps to go into the skin. Is there any side effect then? |

| According to my Paula Begoun book, gold can cause dermatitis to the face or eyelids and they are no research showing it to have any benefit on the skin. |

Considering the expensive price of these gold products (LP pure gold serum ~ $500), I can only say "WOW"  |

it is a similar concept to that "colloidal silver" stuff, it is in a form which is "active" and therefore has a function in the skin, i suppose it also has to be in a micro-ionised form to be absorbed into the skin. i think i much prefer chemical actives rather than metal compounds to be the functional ingredients in my skincare.
there are also those gold leaf facials where they place gold foil on your skin to help condition it, it is rather a terrible waste of a precious metal. |

Will the gold serum give the skin a slightly golden appearance or some glow? That would be a reason for me to buy it. |
