I prefer to wait 24 hrs but well...easier said than done right? What do you ladies do? What would you prefer to do? Does it really hurt to wear makeup after a peel?? |

I would wait at least 24 hours... it's not great to suffocate your face with makeup after doing a peel. Not to mention potential irritation from the makeup |

It would have to depend on how strong a peel it was and how your skin reacts to it.
I agree its preferable to wait (which is why doing them at night is best), but if it is a really light peel and your skin was fine, then I could see using a good-for-your-skin makeup like mineral makeup an hour or two later. Nothing too heavy though.
I used to get weekly gly. peels back in 2004. They were really light at first. I only did it for about a month before a TCA peel. I wish I had better memory recall, but I did it during my lunch hour. My face would only be slightly red which I get now after a good mask. The red would disappear rather quickly and by the time I would be ready for home I think I was ok.
So, if possible wait a bit, but if your face isn't red anymore that may be an indication you can put makeup on. I would only recommend good mineral makeup or tinted moisturizer though. |
