Yes i know i am total addict. I thought first that naaa, its just a stage and ahem i will get over it. But recently it dawned upon me that i am a complete addict. If i am allowed one thing on a deserted island (ofcourse, after my skin product regime ) it has to be my wireless laptop that i carry around everywhere and am connected to the whole world.
Please feel free to join the net junkie group, where we can support each other.
ps: i think the * spam alert * can cut down to some extent on the real life time spent with other people. |

Yeah me too!!!! I thought it would be a phase too but I'm going 4 years strong. Every single day, I always think I'll just come check my mail, and before I know it I'm getting Im'd, checking out the forums, doing some research and the day is gone!! Thank God for the laptop as opposed to a desktop, because now I can take it around the house and get some work done too!!! I must admit the days my internet were down, I was so much more productive and happier going out - why do I subject myself to this?????????? WHY WHY WHY????? I love it....and am in need of internet therapy..... an internet support group would be quite ironic |

I am addicted to checking my personal e-mail accounts through Hotmail and Yahoo, and also love using MSN Messenger. This is as a result of hating to talk on the phone once I'm home from work. I don't have a land-line, and only use my mobile when I have to! I do not have a computer at home .... yet, but will be getting a laptop sometime in the near future (to do spa work at home).
While this will be beneficial for work, I wonder if I will get too interested in my e-mail & Messenger. Right now, I can check these while on a break at work, or will often log-in at a cafe or library. A few years back, I was living with someone, and we had a computer. Put it this way: it was my Internet account, and though it was dial-up, I preferred to pay attention to that, than be reminded of the boring article that I was engaged-to (lesson learned!)! The Internet was fare more interesting than he was, and I could chat on Messenger to friends and family, without him overhearing how miserable I was!
Conclusion of story: wised-up, broke-off engagement, gave back the ring, and along with his departure, the computer also went "buh-bye". Sad to see it go, sad to not have a sparkly ring, but MUCH happier as a result of my decision. Check out my ring! Next time: a better, more-compatible guy, and a bigger stone (I think mine was just under 1/2 carat?? Can't remember!)

Hi all me addicted as well. Have tv in computer room so listen to nip &tuck, sex in city, alley Mcbeal etc whilst surfing. Hear lots of sarcy comments from hubby about how he never see's me and how I never talk to him but spend hours talking to people I don't know. Saving for a laptop trying to persuade him that if he buys me one I will be able to talk to him at same time, because I will be in same room as he is.It hasn't worked yet. Also I know he's right but I can't help myself.Sometimes I force myself to not log on and sit with him and all I can think about is getting on pc. Guess this says alot about my life' LOL |

no kidding!!! I just joined this month and I really have a problem. I work out of my house, on my computer. Its just too easy to minimize my work screen and check out EDS. Work HAS suffered . Its a very good thing I'm not the major "bread-winner" in this family. Speaking of work....what am I doing!!!!! |
