This is a post for all of you who have the original formula Revitalash or Jan Marini, which has the active ingredient found in Glaucoma medicine. OR the Lumigan, which I haven't tried, most definitely applies.
I have an old bottle of Revitalash that worked beautifully to give me long, lush lashes. Then they all fell out and my lashes were normal for like a year. But recently I have been using what is left in the bottle sporadically (2-3 times per week if I remember) and after about a month, I see signficant growth and thickness, just like when I was using the product every day. Bottom line, I believe you can avoid irritation and stretch out the amount you use by using the product 2-4 times per week, and still get the same results.
Anyone else noticed the same effect?

Hi Avalange.
I don't have an answer but, I just got Latisse, which is the same sort of formulation. It is expensive, so I'd love to hear others answer this question. |

Avalange, I have heard that same report, although ppl say that they switch to the 2-3 X week routine after they have seen the first growth...so after 5-7 weeks approx.
How long did it take you the first time to see growth?
Do you think it's safe to use a product near your eyes that is a YEAR old? |

I agree. I started using the Lumigan (from alldaychemist) around Xmas and noticed growth in a month or so with really long lashes in 3mos. Also around that time I noticed fallout resulting in sparse areas on both lids. I decided to cut back to 2x a week. Now my lashes are longer, fuller and darker with no sparse areas at all for the last 2 mos. Definitely less is more and will make your bottle last longer. |

Unfortunately, it does not apply to the new Revitalash formula. At least, not in my case. After faithfully applying it daily for about 4 months, I switched to once every other day. Over a 2-month period, I lost my longer lashes and the remaining and the new lashes reach just about two thirds of the length they used to be with the daily application. So, back to daily application... |

I'm currently using the Ardell and Mavala (at the same time!) for two months now, with some growth, thickness and darkness. I want more - so will be starting on Lumigan in about a months time (I hope!).
My question is (and I must ask on the Lumigan thread also) - thinking of some kind of dilution/reducing prostaglandin impact, I had it in mind to mix some of the Lumigan with, say, some of the Ardell.
Does that make any sense to anyone? |

What happened to the Lumigan thread and why? Is there a legal problem with the vendor alldaychem? |

I completely agree, please be careful!!
I am using Lumigan about 2-3x/week, but my lashes are definitely not as full as when I was using it daily. But my eyes coul not deal with the irritation, so I had to compromise. |
