I'm thinking about getting a dermaroller.
I have a slightly raised scar on my chin and am wondering if anyone has used it on that type of scar? I did have steroid injections to flatten it out and that worked pretty well to flatten it but you can still see that I have the scar and the skin in that area in slightly different also (this scar is 2 yrs old).
I don't just plan to use to dermaroller for that scar ( I have some fine lines and ance scars I'd like to treat) but am wondering if I should avoid that area? I've been doing lots of reading here and have not seen anything like this mentioned yet.
thanks |

I emailed this exact question to Nova Clinic, that sells Dr Roller. They answered:
Yes, you can use the Dermaroller for raised scars, the scar tissue and old collagen will break down over time, and renewed skin will grow with new collagen.
I am currently treating small, raised scars on the back of my calves (from electrolysis treatments) with Dermaroller. I have only been rolling twice and don't see any improvement yet. |
