The brush doesn't turn, or at least mine doesn't and I think it did check it out with the company because I had the same concern at first.

Can you return it if you're not happy with the results after trying it out? |

I've used my Clarisonic for over a year, and noticed the same thing. To the naked eye it may appear as if it's only vibrating, while it is actually oscillating at a sonic frequency of 300 rotations/sec.
Check out the online demonstration. http://www.clarisonic.com/professional/technology.php |

The middle of the brush spins back and forth and also has sonic technology - it "flexes".
Like babybelle said, check out the visual on:

Oscillating back and forth at a sonic frequency of more than 300 movements per second, the two dynamic zones of the Clarisonic® Skin Care System work with the skin, not against it.
Zone 1: Deep cleansing
Flexing action between the outer and inner brushes works deep within the pores to loosen dirt and oil.
Zone 2: Clarifying
Back and forth oscillating motion of the inner brush effecively cleans, clarifies and stimulates the skin. |

If you buy it from an authorized distributor, you are under warrantee and also Clarisonic's money back guarantee:
http://www.clarisonic.com/utility/warranty.php

If you are not satisfied with your Clarisonic® Skin Care System purchase and would like to return it for a full refund, less shipping, please call 888-525-2747 for a Return Authorization (RA) request within 30 calendar days of the receipt of the product (60 days if product is purchased directly from your skin care professional). You will be provided with a UPS prepaid postage label for the return of your product. |
Of course, some stores/places of sale have longer money-back guarantees - I think Nordstrom's is one. |
