I've been using grapeseed oil on my face for about a year. I always use the same brand, but I've noticed that the shade of yellow of the oil varies with each batch. I'm all out, so I went to the store today and all the bottles of grapeseed oil were a greenish-yellow. I've never seen this before, so I was just wondering if that's normal, or if it means the oil has gone bad. |

Can't answer your question directly, but the one I use from WF is light yellow w/ maybe a green tint in it. |

Is it expeller pressed, cold pressed, or refined? The one I have is slightly refined, and it is definitely pale greenish gold. I think the more refined they are the more yellowed they become, but don't quote me on that.
But if you know the level of refinement (should be listed on the bottle) it will be easier to hunt down the characteristics standard to that type of oil. There will always be small variations by the nature of the product but I do believe there are basic parameters to the color. |
