Pelactive is a lovely range and whilst I have never found it to purchase, the salon I go to for facials on the Gold Coast uses it.
Also am wondering if anyone has used Simplicitie long-term. We now have it in Japan, but it is EXPENSIVE and I plan to buy a few things when I go home at Xmas.. they have a beautiful suncreeen and .. well all their products look wonderful.
Both are a natural skincare line and I think both of them are free from perfume and nasties like Parabens. |

Is Pelactiv Australian? Is there anywhere in the shops that you can get it or is it a salon only product? TIA |

Hi Mabsy, Yep. it is Australian, but I have no idea where to get it.
I go to the beauty salon located at the back of the pharmacy at Harbour Town. The woman there told me that the pharmacy do not allow her to sell any products (guess they dont want the competition for thier own sales), but the pharmacy do not sell the two brands she uses - Pelactiv and Arnaud. (go figure)
The Pelactiv website lists both salon and home products (http://www.pelactiv.com).
When I go in for a facial later this month I am having an eye treatment that is supposed to be good for puffiness and breaking down milia!! |

Thanks tiger_tim! This is the place you talked about a while ago when you were talking about getting your facials right? I might check this out next time I'm at Harbour Town - I feel a little shopping trip comming on... HT is always good to check out anyway, although last time I went I didn't buy anything |

yep, yep. That is the one.
It is called "Harbour Town Beauty Salon, at Harbour Town Chemist". Just a one-woman show, no frills, just a nice facial with nice feeling products. I think she does not work Tuesdays. You could call for a reservation 07-5529-1758.
Her 1 hour deluxe facial with eyebrow wax and eyelash tint just went up from $60 to $75, but it is still great value.
At the Australia Fair Super Cuts beauty salon, their Pelactiv 1 hr dlx facial with wax and tint is $99!! (mind you they say they also do skin assessment, but to me that just means "we will tell you what products would be great for your skin and you should buy them from us" LOL)
I am also getting the 15 minute eye treatment for $15 ("Increases circulation lessening dark circles around the eyes, breaks down milia, softens fine lines and wrinkles, reduce puffiness and improves hydration") When mum made my booking she remembers the woman saying something about collagen.. and if it is, the same 15 minute Pelactiv collagen eye treatment at Aust. Fair is $39.
I just LOVE Harbour Town.. the Nine West outlet is my fav. Got 3 pair of shoes there in July (if you got 3 pair you got 40-odd% off the price of each already discounted pair!). I used to love the kitchen shop, but that just closed. The Villeroy & Boch and Orrefors stores a fav. too. I also love going to the theaters to the luxury screening rooms..best value for the movie buck! Mmmmm |

Thanks! Will definitely check it out now! Does she do a nice natural brow wax? I'm a bit picky with brow waxing...
Whenever I'm at HT I make a bee-line for Cue and Table Eight |

I know what you mean about brows.. I hate coming out with a brow as thin as a fishing line.
I really liked the line she gave me, if anything they could have been a bit thinner, but better that than having too much off.
Ask her to use the Arnaud senstive masque on you after the massage.. ooh.. it is nice!! Very calming after all that stimulation from the facial massage |

Glad you like Pelactiv - they use native Australian plant extracts and are designed for the Australian climate. You can buy products from retail salons or via the website although it is currently being updated so, freecall 1800 655 745 to find out your closest stockist. All the best getting your product. |
