Hi!
This is a cry for help as I am on week 12-13 of Nu-derm. It has worked great for hyperpigmentation so far but I am really worried about the zits. I can not stop breaking out, you know the big cysts ones...They were under control before I started and they seem to get worse as I go along... I am about to quit, my skin is absolutly horrible! I also get a lot of blackheads and red blemishes...There is always something going on! And then a scar....Vicious circle! Is it worth me continuing for 6 more weeks or is this it? At this point I do have a hard time thinking my skin will get better!
Help....What are your experiences?
Thank you |

I am so sorry you are having such bad breakouts. I love Obagi and think it is great for hyperpigmentation. I don't have any issues with breakouts, so I can't help you there. I would suggest you contact your derm or nurse who put you on nu-derm and ask for their help. |

Yikes woman. You should read the ingredients. Nuderm has some serious issues. Look at the irritants that it contains (For example, parabens). This could be causing your pimples. These ingredients would cause my skin to break out in a jiffy. |

Nuderm made me break out too....I should have never been on it, but I went to a Medspa for a microderm and got suckered into buying it.
Does your Retin A have Isopropyl Myristate in it? It gives the product a smoother consistency, but it commonly clogs pores. Also, for me, I don't think the Exfoderm Forté was strong enough to kill bacteria. |

Me to, I was suggested this product when I went to a med spa as well, the first couple days I loved it, then all HELL broke loose (sorry for the word), I stopped it instantly, and at least I went back to the bad skin I had before, not the horrible skin. What another waste of money. |

I agree with the others that there are alot of comedogenic ingredients in the Nuderm/tretinoin that could be causing you to react. You could try a topical Rx such as Clindamyacin as your first layer. I know this has worked for some people I have spoken with. Perhaps a consult with a derm would be best. Hope you find some relief soon! |
