i just did a search here and on the internet and cant find the answer - although im sure its here somewhere..
can oral vitamin E capsules be broken and applied directly on the skin?? I heard its beneficial to do on scars... but wondered about it for general skin care as well. or is it best to just take as directed.

| Yes, I believe you can do this. You should check the 'ingredients' just to make sure it's pure vitamin E oil and doesn't have any weird fillers or extras too. You can also buy pure vitamin E oil at the drugstore if you'd rather skip the capsules. |

| I second that. A top model where I live, told in her book that one of her beauty secrets was to puncture a hole in a vitamin E supplement capsule and apply the contents on her skin. |

awww- i think what i bought does have extra crap in it. Its the CVS brand.
Guess I could just return it and get the 100% oil from elsewhere.

| I sometime puncture 100% vit E caps and use on my face as well if it is very dehydrated- it hydrates it nicely after 1-2 uses over night. |

| Yes, I use Jamison Vitamine E as overnight treatment one type per week. It helps to hydrate sking. I just break the capsule and put vitamine E on cleansed skin. |
