Anyone use Vitamin C serurms at night? I am liking more and more Cellularskinrx serum, but still cant use it during the day under makeup, its just a little too oily and makes my pores and lines look worse! But I love what its doing to my skin otherwise, I use it first thing in the morning and leave it on as long as possible before I put on my makeup for the day. Luckily I start work at 2.30pm so I can get in good few hours of treatment! I have just ordered 2nd bottle as I dont want to run out, and had nice email back from the company suggesting it can be used at night time too, something I had avoided as I always thought it was effective much more during the day. I usually just use a little md forte lotion at night and nothing else. Maybe alternate nights would be good? I dont want to give up my md forte as its been brillant for keeping pimples etc at bay.

You can use it at night, you're just not getting as much of a benefit. Have you tried blotting it with a tissue after giving it about 10 minutes to sink in? That might help.

Why is it that it doesn't benefit the skin at night? I know that it helps with uv protection, but as one of the main things is helping collegen regeneration, why would it stop at night...I don't get it Think

Lee, I use the same brand (cellularskinrx.com) but no oiliness on me. I'm combo skin. I only use one drop each on my forehead, cheeks, neck and chest though. That stuff is so incredibly spreadable. I have to be careful not to overdo it. I used to use it only in the AM but then when I reordered I got the same note you got I guess so I started using it every other night -alternating with Retin-A. I'm liking the results quite a bit. I also started making sure that I covered my undereye area with it, too and that's made that whole area look much better. I think it's the retexturing of my skin and the clarity that makes me just love my C! Smile

These are best to use during the day, as you will benefit from the antioxidant protection. Though I am not familiar with the brand that you are using, know that a serum ought not make your skin oily! Perhaps you are applying too much, or using other skincare that is causing too much oil-production, or that has too much oil in it?

If you seek an oil-controlling product, containing Vit.C, you should consider using Jan Marini's C-Esta Oil Control Serum. Otherwise, implement an oil-controlling moisturizer such as Dermalogica's Oil Control Lotion.

Think I will start using it alternative nights and see how it goes. Betterat40..are you using the Retin A for lines or acne? I used it years ago for acne, and found it to be really good. I might try it again to help improve texture of my skin. As far as oiliness of the serum goes, I have always had trouble with oily skin and shine within an hour usually!

Both actually. I thought it would ward off wrinkles by thickening my skin and it has helped quite a bit in preventing cystic acne for me. I use it as a spot treatment when I feel a sore spot coming up, usually on my chin. Darn hormones!

Are you using ordinary Retin A, or the Micro? I can get Retin A shipped to UK no problem, but cant find anywhere that will ship Micro to the UK. I didnt have too much sensitivity when I used it years ago so hopefully the ordinary will be fine.
