I purchased the Osmosis Mend intro kit for sensitive skin and using Mend every night for the past week. I was hoping for some feedback experience from users when starting this line, particularly the Calm or Mend product.
I understand that there is an adjustment period due to the actives but how do you know your skin is adjusting or simply not agreeing with the product? I'm concerned with small bumps on my forehead that appear to be clogged pores. I normally get these (oily forehead) and it's not getting worse at this time but I don't want to get to the point where they never go away and/or get worse.
I haven't used Replenish yet. Although it was recommended to start out once a day opposite Mend, I didn't want to introduce too much at once being how active these are. My skin is very hypersensitive. I am using Polish once a week, I've used it twice so far - I like it a lot, it's totally non irritating unlike other exfoliators I've tried. |

I have the mend product. I have it on hand for use on my chin area to help control hormonal acne and it works well for that...use to be I would put it on 1 or 2x/week, yet my skin has cleared up with the oxygen creams + 302 skincare so I have set it aside for now.
All of that said, I have tried the Replenish, (too dehydrating for my skin). Ditto with the sunscreen though it would be great for someone with oily skin however. I also used their product for lightening my hyperpigmentation in the chin area and it really worked well.
If you have sensitive skin, my overall suggestion is cut back on the product use - every other day, for instance, or 2x/week. My skin is what I would call normal, and I couldn't ever use the products every day, they were just too much for me.
I moved away from the line as I didn't think I needed all of the actives in the products and they were all dehydrating to my skin, even their basic moisturizer. However, that dosen't mean its not a good line! |

Thanks for your comments. I have cut down to a small pump (half pump) of Mend (which is not easy to do as the pump is not user friendly) and my skin seems to like it better. A full pump is way too much and irritates my skin.
Time will tell if it's doing any good. I'm giving it 30 days, if no improvement I will move on. |

I ordered a sampler kit but have not used everything it came with consistently.I used the Polish and Shelter sunscreen a few times and ended up with patches of rough, bumpy, dry skin in certain areas so both those got put under the sink. It might have been only one of the products but b/c I used together can't say which one. Skin cleared up after I stopped using them. I've been trying to use Clarify a few times a week to keep pores clear. I do like the way it seems to work and not dry me out. I would like to use it more often but I'm trying to rotate it with lactic/mandelic acid and there are only so many nights in the week to use different things...haha. I do think these products can be intense for certain skin types though so best to go slow and trust your gut on whether skin is responding well or not.
I have not used the Mend or Calm product but I did watch the video on them and I think they said they were not your typical rosacea products and they were "stimulating" to the skin...but that that is what this type of skin needed for long term health...????/ |

I've given up on Osmosis for now. My forehead was looking red and angry with clogged pores and a couple itchy bumps - I've been using it about 3 weeks, once a day. It's been two days and my skin has cleared and looks better, smoother (less clogged pores). Perhaps I need to adjust, maybe use every other day instead? I had high hopes for this line.
I also tried the Shelter and it gave me a couple itchy bumps around the hairline. I was so disappointed because it has a nice finish, no shine but not completely matte. I still use Polish once a week. |

I forgot to mention, it was Calm I was using and at night only. This was the only Osmosis product I was using consistently every day, Polish was 1x/week. |
