Ok, I feel stupid, but I need a little help... Dry body brushing is supposed to stimulate the circulation and I want to do this with circular movement towards the heart. Say on my right thie, would that be circles going to the right or to the left? ![Embarassed](images/smiles/redface.gif) |

Hi Ziggy!
I'm thinking that on the right side, you would circle toward the left...at least that's how I did it when I was dry brushing (really need to get back to it...did wonders for my skin)! If I'm wrong, someone with more experience at this practice please correct me!
Out of curiosity, I did a Google search for dry skin brushing instructions...looks like some decent info!

Hope this helps some!

I've read that you are supposed to dry brush in small circles towards the heart but I've also read where they say to only use long strokes upward towards the heart, so as long as you are moving up the leg, not down, I don't think it matters. I got tired of the small circles so now I just do the long upward strokes. |

Bumping with a link for more info:

I use dry brushing to exfoliate the body and love it. For me, I don't use extra lotions, etc. as the dry brush tends to everything.
Hope it helps someone. |

I'm too lazy to do body brushing...I did mean to one time but never actually did it much...
I use a japanese wash cloth (from space Nk but others recommend Dermalogica and Tiger Tim had tips for ones in Japan). I love it. My skin is super smooth, Best thing is, it's no extra step, I just put my shower gel on it and use it to wash. Result super smooth skin, no body lotion needed ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |

This maybe a dumb question. Dry brushing exfoliate and help speed up our skin renewal rate. This is similar to using a scrub on our faces.
Recently read the post on 302 skin care philosophy where we have been over exfoliating our skin with acids and stuff. I agree with that theory. So how can we be sure we are not over exfoliating our body skin with dry brushing? |
