So I've had gel nails since January. I love them. They always look good, I can work in my job and not worry about my hands. I can just do my job and wash them when I'm done and my nails don't break and all that.
Here's the thing. Getting fills is a hassle. Paying someone else every couple weeks is getting kind of stupid.
What I would like to do it get the nails removed and then use the Nailtiques to strengthen my nails. Then once a month or so, I can go get a manicure and be okay with that.
So is there anyone who had gel nails that has since used this product? Did it work for you? Were your nails as strong or at least even close? I wear my nails pretty short even with the gel but I like that they always look nice and I don't have to do anything other than the fills.
So if I can just use this stuff on my own at home and my nails are even close to as strong as they are now, with the gel, then I'm ready! |

My first post on this board was about this very subject, although instead of gels I was transitioning my nails to natural from silk wraps. (I had gels previously, though.)
I got some wonderful responses -- here's a link

My nails did go through a bit of an awkward stage, but it was worth it. Nailtiques is a great product and I still rotate between it, Nail Tek and Toughen Up (which is by the same company that makes the Solar Oil). I use one of those white pencils under my nail tips and I've actually had friends who thought I had a french manicure! My nails are very strong and they break much less often then when I had the silk wraps ... although, when one does break, I can't just go have it fixed. |
