Hi i'm new to the forum and this is my first post. to my surprise its about the ASPIRIN MASK!! I do have the odd breakout so i'd be into trying this, but slightly worried about the different recipes that i've found. Some say fifty pills others say just four or five... i'm a tad confused . The thought of smearing fifty aspirins on my face does alarm me a bit, is it safe, as it must seep into your blood stream! Any advice or recommended recipes would be greatly received. ![Smile](images/smiles/smile.gif) |

There are lots of recipes. You can spend a whole afternoon browsing through them. I just took the idea and use it my way. I crush 7 aspirins and add plain yogurt for a mask. It clarifies my skin. Keep reading. There's lots of great stuff to learn in this forum. ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |

Yes - you use ground up aspirins - 5-9 of them or so and add any number of wet (honey, yogart, aloe vera) ingredients. |

I'm going to try it out soon, although today I am using my lovely Dr Hauschka cleansing clay mask.
Hey if any of you have used the Aspirin mask i'd love to hear about the results.
I'm still a bit worried about it seeping into bloodstream through you skin, but hey nobody else seems bothered, so it must be safe I guess! |

Julesee, I was a tad concerned about that myself. I'm the most skin sensitive person I know, and as I've posted elsewhere, can't use some of the skin actives that some others have great results using because they make me too hyper to sleep, but the aspirin doesn't seem to affect me (knock wood).
I love this mask. It makes my skin glow. How I use it is to crush the aspirins using a mortar and pestle, add organic plain Greek yogurt, and stir. Then I go watch TV and begin dipping into the mask and spreading it on my face (careful to avoid the eyes....it STINGS!!), and as it dries, I keep rubbing fresh mask into my face. Pretty soon, I can begin to feel (hard to explain) like a crusty layer of my skin beginning to soften and rub away. I leave it on for about half an hour and rinse it off. It's best when I do this about once a week, but I'm not really good with scheduling. |

well I did the asprirn and I didn't get it.... maybe I did it wrong but my skin didn't look any different or feel softer. I didn't like the tingles after either. Ah well! |
