I've talked about this in the Baby Q thread in regards to fillers. I used my Baby Q directly on the filler and botox immediately after injection and they didn't take. Now I have juvaderm and I use the Baby Q, not for long periods, though. I also waited for the juvadserm to bond before I used it on that area, about 2-3 weeks. |

oh no! i've had it for two months now. do you think its okay to use as directed for the first full cycle? i have it in my cheeks so if i can't use on that area, the LED device would really be of no use to me. now i don't know what to do! should i go ahead and use it? frankly the filler is more important to me than the device and i really don't want to ruin it! i've read on medspa pages that derm strength LEDs like gentle waves don't damage juvederm? thanks! |

There's been a fair amount written about this topic on the Forum in the past and the consensus of opinions varies. I think it was Bluesheart (forgive me if I'm wrong) who said that at her clinic they give Gentle Wave treatments after injections of fillers as they believe it's beneficial and has no ill effects.
I still use my LED after Botox and other fillers - I don't think it makes any difference. But regardless of what I do, my fillers don't seem to last very long anyway. I 'm inclined to think they over-exaggerate the length of time fillers are supposed to last. |

I think 2 months is okay as your collagen should be binding by now. I only wait 2-3 weeks, but I also go over that area lightly and leave it on for less time. |

does anyone have a link to this discussion regarding fillers and LED? i couldn't find it unfortunately.
looking on the web, i see that most derms do gentle waves etc after fillers so i guess it most likely doesn't have any effect on them.
thanks! |
