I finally broke down and bought the 2 pack which includes the baby Q and the baby blue Q. I did my first treatment yesterday, the blue first which they suggest, and then the red, using the low setting, and then the higher setting afterwards. I am so excited about these products! I used the blue again today. I know that you should only use the regular baby Q about every 3 days or so. But am wondering if anyone knows if I can use the blue everyday to control acne. I don't break out hardly ever anymore, but still get probably 3 pimples a month. I want to knock those suckers out entirely. Any one have the baby blue and have any comments/instructions on how often you use it? It would be greatly appreciated! |

I have regular Baby Q (red) and Tanda skin care (red and blue). I often use blue light several days in a row when my skin is acting out. |

So do you think it would be safe to use the blue more than the red, in order to control the few pimples I get. I mean, I would even use it every day if it would help to stop them altogether. I was thinking of emailing the company to ask if it was OK to use the blue everyday. |

You just brought up the one thing that bugged me about the Baby Blue. The instructions that came with it are only for the regular Baby Quasar. It's the one weakness of the company which distributes the product. The instructions are the worst out of the products I've reviewed. Out of the three products I reviewed the Tanda has the best instruction book. I use the Baby blue every day and because it has no onboard timer like the Tanda I use timer to know when to stop or move the light around. Phone the company and I'm sure they will help you but I wish they would do more to educate their users. |

I agree, I was confused why there were no instructions with the baby blue, and there were with the red, and the red pamphlet does not address the baby blue instructions. I have also heard from other members that theirs come with a carrying case and the serum, mine didn't Just 2 boxes, which are fine, but are not really "carrying cases". I have used both 2 times though, and am already pleased with the results. I took pics beforehand, and will wait a few weeks to post updated before & afters. I would like to use the blue everyday to control my acne, as i feel that using it once a week or so is not going to give me the same results. I will call the company and try to find out the instructions. Thanks! |

I heard from Peter, he said to use the baby blue about 1 or 2X a week. He said I should be using the red about the same amount as well, just not on the same night.
So there's the answer! |

Amylola, did Peter elaborate on why you shouldn't use blue and red on the same night? |

THis is what he said:
Hi Amy,
I would suggest using the blue once or twice a week. That should help keep control of the p. acne bacteria.
Do not use at the same time as the red Baby Q since it can counteract the benefit of the red.
I hadn't heard that before and was using them on the same night but now I will switch off. |

That's too bad that the blue Quasar doesn't have it's own manual. But I do like that the company selling the Quasar makes their manuals available online so you can view them before purchase:

Blue light therapy is most commonly used when treating acne, after a microdermabrasion treatment, or after any treatment that causes downtime. The Blue light is a vaso-constrictor. It is important to apply the blue light prior to using the red/infrared, not vice versa.
When combined with the red light therapy, one can achieve the best acne results available today without medication or daily application of skin products. These products may be used when someone is undergoing light therapy.
Remember, blue goes first. As discussed with red/infrared, you divide the face into 6 sections and then treat each section sequentially. There is only one pass necessary as blue has continuous wave only. You will use blue light; using the same technique(s) mentioned in red/infrared, about 2 minutes each section. The total treatment time should be 12 minutes.
One may use the blue light as a stand-alone acne treatment, but we recommend using it in combination with red/infrared for the best possible results. |

Should the blue light treatment be done before the red treatment, after, or at some other time?
The blue light should be done before the red light if they are done together. The treatment may be done at different times, however, if that is more convenient. |

Greetings amylola,
I was curious about how the baby Q has been working out for you since your last post. I have post acne scarring and minor pock marks, was wondering if from your experience you think it would help with my issues. Hope to see your post soon... |

Honestly, I have been a little lazy with using these. I have used the red more than the blue, simply b/c my breakouts have virtually stopped. I am happy with how my skin looks, but I haven't used the devices consistenly enough to really be able to tell.
I need to get to it! |

The instructions here seem to contradict what Peter told Amy. Wonder which is right? |

Forgot to ask how much is the combo pack? Can anyone tell me if the blue light really works on acne? |

I usually use either the red or the blue, not both on one night, that makes my face feel too dry and tight.
Sometimes I notice after I use the red, that I will actually have a pimple the next day? Not sure if it is just coincidence.
I haven't been breaking out so much since I have been on renova and now Nia 24, its great! So I really haven't been using the blue. I forgot what I paid, but I bought it on EDS with the 15% discount. It should be listed on the site. |

Thanks! I checked EDS. It's $664 for the combo pack. Wow, that's expensive, no? |
