Somewhere I thought I read someone about how it is bad to use a cream/serum/etc that promotes collagen synthesis when you have active acne because it can actually help your skin to produce too much scar tissue and therefore give you a larger scar than you might have gotten otherwise. I can't seem to find information on it now... here or the web. Anyone ever heard about anything like this? My mind just won't let me remember, I guess. I prefer to take Vit.C to help the recovery of scars. VC is the key factor within the collagen synthesis process.
Alternatively, the serum or cream with renewing ingredients, BHA or AHA, can also do positive job. |

Are you talking about KELOIDS? That's a hereditary condition tho and not something caused by any serum. I have never heard of a serum that causes larger scars. |
