Wow, I had no idea what this was so I did a google.

I have course hair that does not take a perm very well. Sounds like this perm might just work for me. Now to find a place where I live that does this. |

I did a digital perm about 3 years ago. My hair is quite fine and it was slightly past my shoulders in length when I did the perm.
It worked pretty well as the stylist gave me a half-perm (only the bottom-half/ends of my hair instead of the whole head) and she gave me bigger curls so that it looks more natural and wavy when the curls start to relax...
Just a warning - when you first get the perm, your hair will really curl into little balls! (think the 80's style curls at the nape of the neck! ). But it will set after a couple of washes and 'relax' into the style that you permed it in...
For a digital perm, the curls really lasted (even through my compulsive habit of having to comb my hair - though I know perfectly well I'm not supposed to so that the perm will last longer ). I think a year later my ends were still curled but have relaxed into more natural wavy loops.
However maybe because it is so strong in curling hair, I did find my hair a lot dryer and slightly more coarse after the perm. It's a perm that really requires a lot of care (think daily conditioning + applying serum/oils on the curls + weekly hair masks )
But it will give fine hair that volume and it's quite an elegant look (esp. if you go for bigger curls). Hope this helps! ![Smile](images/smiles/smile.gif) |

I tried a digital perm last December and loved it. The curls finally fell out 2 weeks ago, after my hair got incredibly long and heavy. I just had it redone yesterday and one hour after leaving the salon, my curls fell out. Has this happened to anyone? Any tips for reviving them? |

I would really like this but have not heard of it before, and wondered if this is available in the UK and how to find a salon that offers it? |
