Cherry angioma removal?

Hi, I also posted this over at Skin Biology, but thought I'd ask here too. I have a bunch of these little cherry red angiomas on my body and was wondering if any products out there would be able to help get rid of them? I was going to have the dermatologist laser them off but thought I'd check on DIY methods first before I shell out the money. By the way, the angiomas are those little pinhead sized red dots--some people are more prone to them than others. They bleed profusely if you mess with them too much--pricking, poking, etc.)I was wondering if certain acids or something could remove them?

Hi,

I think electro-coagulation (not quite a laser, but a needle with electric current) is the most recommended treatment for this issue--usually included in the cost of your regular derm apptmnt... I've never heard of any product that gets rid of them, only products that perhaps can prevent new ones from forming.

I didn't know there were products that could prevent the red marks, what are they?

I wish you lived close to me. The machine is called a Vascutouch and it removes those little blood moles, spider veins, skin tags, etc. I use a topical anesthetic on my clients and they don't feel a thing. The great thing about this electric coagulator is that it won't cause hypopigmentation.

BTW, an aesthitician can use this machine. So maybe you can have them removed less expensively than going to a doc.

I've heard of the Lam Probe where the skin is electrically cauterized. I haven't seen anyone who has had it done though.

I have them too and don't believe there is a topical that gets rid of them.

My derm removed them. It wasn't a laser, perhaps it was device described in previous posts. More like a heat zap. Almost painelss, easy, they scabbed up, fell off. I'd ask my derm to do it again when needed.

How much did it cost if you don't mind me asking? I have a ridiculous amount and I am so embarrassed by them. I really want to get a good number of them removed and am dreading the cost.
