haha theres nothing to be jealous of, once u stay long u get to see the 'uglier' side of france- the lazyness, the strikes, the rudeness (customer service is a nightmare here), the arrogant-ness... |

I am living near Paris, in Rueil-Malmaison. I have been here for about 4 years now. I am originally from Nebraska.
How long have you been in France and where are you originally from?
You are right, positive and negative sides to living in France. Mainly I miss my family and wish it were easier to visit. |

Peut etre je peux ameliorer mon francais avec nous! I watch french movies all the time and love french culture. I intend to live in Paris at some point in my life.
Have you guys seen La Haine? It's a fantastic film about the bainlieu. I also love Cache. I adore Juliet Binoche and Catherine Deneuve. Such grace, class and natural beauty. I think in my younger years I was an anglophile and now I am a francophile so excuse my exuberance on the subject.
I think if I ever go to Paris I will fall in love with the city and not want to ever leave. |

Do you think it could be true that the "fun, colourful" cultures tend to be a little disorganized. lol |

I love Paris. Been there a few times-- it's the most beautiful city I've ever seen. The women are flawless-- they must take an hour to put their make-up on.\
When I have more time I'll pass on a funny story about my visit.
I am so envious of you C. |

Even after living here for 5 years, I still think that Paris is the most beautiful city in the world. My favorite thing to do every year is take a bateau-mouche on the river - you can see almost all the major monuments, it is breath-taking! The history, culture, fashion, architecture, and food are all amazing!
Life is very expensive, however, and very crowded if you are used to living in the American mid-west.Sometimes I start to feel really stressed out, but an afternoon in Paris usually cheers me up. |

they just had a huge strike yesterday, it was mad. they had like fireworks, and huge puppets, decorated cars, It seemed more like a parade then a strike..
french ppl are like spoilt babies.. once they arent happy of smth, they go on strike, and make the whole world inconvenient.. lol |
