I've always had this problem and i never know which products to get, but this has haunted me since forever.
I've done lasers, microdermabrasions etc, but the "pits" are still there. I cant make them smooth of make it less obvious.
I don't even know if those were scars left by my teenage acnes or are they just huge pores??
Could someone help deduct?? |

I don't think pores can get big enough to cast a shadow in a photo. If you've had laser and microdermabrasion etc., any of those professionals would have been able to answer your question |

Its hard to tell for sure but I'm thinking they are probably scars. Microdermabrasion and light peels wont help with these. What kind of lasers have you tried? I would not go back to to place that you had microderm done if they told it would help with the scars.
You might want to look into dermarolling. There is a great thread over on the DIY forum. Its long but its well worth reading. |

lasers, dermapeels can only improve the pitted holes, it can never heal totally. |

Alot of people love the clarisonic, I personally didn't love it. It might be nice but it wont help your scars.
On the DIY board there is a thread with dermaroller discounts, quality rollers can purchased from the vendors listed there. But be sure to read the dermaroller thread first. |

Don't give up hope! That's exciting you're dermarolling I've seen some great before and after pictures. Hmm for some of my larger pores (nose and chin) I found the Alpha Beta peels by MD Skincare seemed to reduce the appearance... btw I'm not a rep, I just think they work fairly well! What about retin-A? I don't think you mentioned that. I read on here a lady said retin-A and clarisonic made her pores look smaller. I know the pores on my nose will probably never disappear but when I take care of my skin people don't really notice (I hope ) |

Oh dear. Yeah it's no good to squeeze your pores, you stretch out the pore when the gunk comes out. I unfortunately picked a lot when I didn't know better.
Now that I see your a boy (sleuthed around) I recognize those kind. My boyfriend has them. His are from when he picked his face when he had acne, and one is from an ingrown. Poor baby!
I noticed when he started using Nivea exfoliator and cleanser his skin started looking better. I made a comment and he was like oh yeah I noticed too.
I was thinking about getting him a Clarisonic. His and hers. Hehehe. Tell me how you like yours?
Needling might work wonders...
There's this woman in Vancouver who does it.
Lisa Lam at BioTouch Canada. I'm sure there must be amazing specialists in Europe. Maybe I'll have a look see for you this weekend. Wow I'm a dork. |

I took a look at the website and it said $100 minimum and $250 per hour (CAD that is). Look up the acne.org site, people talk about their experiences with needling. Many are quite positive. I think it's similar in how it works (boosting collagen) to the dermarollers.

Scroll down and look at the asian girl with the acne "pits". Her skin looks pretty great after. |

have a look fraxel official website. This treatment claims as the best current method to heal the acne scar. Fraxel® Laser Treatment produces thousands of tiny laser spots which penetrate deeply into the dermis in zones. The laser is so precise that it penetrates the outer layer of the skin, leaving it completely intact, whilst eliminating old epidermal damaged cells. For every zone the laser targets it leaves the surrounding area intact. This 'fractional' targeting allows the skin to heal much faster than if the entire area were treated at once, using the natural healing process to create new healthy tissue to replace skin imperfections. |

Re: Fraxel
Do a board search on this, there have been several posts about Fraxel. Most people are not happy with it. |
