Hi I hope all you DIYers can help. I'm new to DIY and with the dry winter air, would love to try a glycolic body wash. I know DIY can be complicated, with ph balance and such, but is it possible to make one at home? Does anyone have a recipe? I have a 30% glycolic acid meant for facial peels and was wondering if I could add it to a regular body wash? Or I could order a stronger % if needed. TIA!! |

Go to GOW (www.gardenofwisdom.com) and do a search on glycolic acid. Markey sells a 70% solution and there is a pdf link that contains a recipe and formulating instructions.
Keep in mind DIY glycolic (aka AHA) is not for beginners, you will need pH meter or strips and will need to adjust pH with baking soda. Here is some info from GOW:
