Does anyone know of exercises for hands that help eliminate wrinkles? Would sure appreciate suggestions and advice on this subject.

anndy I don't think there is such a thing. We use our hands everyday for everything so I don't know if you can develop the muscle that much further to plump up the skin so to speak.
The one thing that honestly helps (my hands are brutal) is lotion, lotion, lotion and more lotion and then lotion with sunscreen.
Since highschool a girlfriend of ours would always insist on putting lotion on after she washed her hands. I can't tell you the amount of times I rolled my eyes at her patiently waiting in a bar bathroom. Well she has had the last laugh - her hands look like they are 20 yrs old not the 60 mine seem to. |

I imagine that massage might thicken the skin a bit, like it does on the face. In fact, I should try this because my hands could use it ! |

I have not seen specific exercises... However, my husband used to pull green chain (about a million years ago)... He actually developed the muscles on the back side of his hand between each finger... and could actually FLEX them... It was a riot... especially the muscle between thumb and index finger... It REALLY popped up.
Muscle is muscle... you just have to figure out how to hit it... |

The mavala exercises are excellent for keeping hands supple and possibly staving off arthritis. A professional pianist taught them to me. |

Thank you all for responding with such helpful advice. I've been doing massage on my hands for about two weeks and it seems to be helping. Plus using the ZO hand care products that contain some retinol. Sure glad for the hand exercise cite and will give them a go. Again, thanks so much and I will keep you posted with (hopefully) positive results. |

Because of the nature of the hands, there are not really that many muscles that run along the back of the skin, to exercise and increase the muscles and thus eliminate wrinkles, but many people have had success with using remodelling agents and dermarolling.
There are some good exercises to help maintain flexibility (and even increase it somewhat), plus you could always massage the skin on the back of the hands also, although this will take much longer than the face to increase, as when you massage the face you have an abundance of connective tissue and many muscles underneath, and with the hands, its the second thinnest place on the body, but it does work in the longer term to thicken the skin up somewhat provided your eating the right kinds of foods for your body.

SeanySean, thank you for your reply. What kind of massage would you recommend for the backs of the hands? I checked out the website: wow, the dancing with your hands is so much fun - really hard, too. The exercises seem to concentrate on finger dexterity. Not sure they would improve backs of hands, though.

I would do pinching the skin and rolling it between your fingers. The website your right is not designed to change the look of the hands, but improve your control and flexibility in movements, but in doing so, I think you will start to make the tissue there healthier, as the circulation is increased in many of the movements etc. Its worth experimenting with for sure!
