I am thinking of going to get a facial and the local salon offers one called a Galvanic and High Frequency Facial with dermalogica products. I have heard these are good for congested skin. Has anyone ever had one? I am quite keen to try it but I'm sure I was once told that they strip the skins acid mantle and then replace it, do you know if this is true and if so does it upset the skin?
I have read threads on here about a home galvanic device but I'm not sure if this is the same as the salon based facial. |

I had two of them as they are actually very gentle and it was great. My esthetician uses it on people with rosacea instead of microdermabrasion.
I had that followed by steam and a hydrating mask and it brought my skin back from really dry to plump, plus removed all the built up dead skin on top. |

Thanks for your feedback on these facials Annie, it sounds good I'm going to give them a call tomorrow and make an appointment for one. |

Here in the UK a professional salon will charge about £35 to £50 for one. Some student salons do them for much less say £12. |
