About two months ago, I started breaking out on my chest & back for the first time ever. Obviously, I was horrified and started trying anything I could think of to get this under control. Things that usually work on my face for breakouts had zero effect, and I tried some products intended specifically for body acne which also failed to do anything.
I happened to come across neutrogena t-sal shampoo by accident. Out of desperation, with a sort of what-the-h*ll attitude I bought some. I've used it every other day for a week as a bodywash on my chest & back, and done light manual exfoliation (soap + rough washcloth) on the off days and my breakouts have stopped completely. Existing spots are healing on the double. I will say it made my back a little pink for a few hours, and my skin felt sort of tight & itchy (it has 3% salicylic acid) for a few days, a little aloe pretty much took care of the discomfort. I have some mild KP on my upper arms, and I'm going to try this out there as well.
If you're at the end of your rope with a similar problem this might be worth trying. |
