Since they are made from "minerals from the earth, etc." Do they go bad? I've had some Bare Mineral makeup for over 2 years. Some unopened and I really don't want to throw them out. I can't see why they should expire. |

I think it depends on the ingredients. Some "mineral makeup" contain a lot of non-mineral ingredients. Also, I would just use common sense. If the powder has been kept clean, hasn't been wet, doesn't smell bad, etc. I'd still use it. I don't tend to keep makeup older than 3 years though. |

I have powder mineral makeup that is 5 years old and is just fine. I have some liquid mineral make up that is about a year old and is looking a bit like it's separating. |

When water is an ingredient, bacteria can grow, which is why preservatives are added to most if not all liquid foundations. So gals, keep your powder dry and it should last indefinitely. |
