I am almost 49 years young. I need some advice
on what to use for anti-aging
There is Retin-A,Renova,Differin and some new
ones in the news. I've used Retin-A Micro years
ago for acne. Now I want to concentrate on wrinkle prevention and collagen growth. This
forum is a wealth of knowledge. Please answer |

It depends on what your skin is like. The Renova is for more dry skin, as the tretinoin is in an emolient base. Differin is a third-generation retinoid mostly prescribed for acne. I would stick with the Retin A and start at a low percent. You can always move up in strength, though studies have shown that the .05 is as effective as the .1%. Your goal would be nightly used for 1 year to see the best results, and then you would back off to maintenance of 2-3 days a week only. |

Which brand Retin-A do u recommend us to use? If I try obagi first, do i still need to use Retin-A later? Thank you!

Definitely not a doc, just lots of research, dryady! If you choose to do the Nu Derm, then Retin A is part of that, and yes, you would continue with it when your 18 weeks of Nu Derm are finished. You have to stay on maintenance with Nu Derm, or your skin will slowly revert back to where it started. Retin A is just a brand name, you are looking for tretinoin. Hope that helps! |

Riley, Thanks a lot. I asked the silly question below in another tread before I saw your reply. I wonder if it is possible to maintain the good status via other good products, such as valmont and cellcosmet. I saw a lot of good reviews on those two brands here
