I've been trying to identify ingredients that increase hyaluronic acid in the skin for DIY purposes but haven't been successful. Is anyone aware of an ingredient, other than hyaluronic acid itself, that will do that? |

Is there some reason why you don't want to use Hyaluronic Acid? |

That article is written by someone promoting their own products - the article does mention Coenzyme Q10 though - I already mix that up with my Emu Oil. |

Just googled it for her, I figured she could read both articles and draw her own conclusions. I am not promoting the product, that's why I said according to this.
Just trying to help.

Keliu, I was concerned about using HA in a DIY serum because I wasn't sure whether it should be or should not be used with certain other ingredients since it's an acid. That's why I was looking for substitutes.
Thanks, DM. I see Matrixyl will boost HA production. I've since found another source which says copper peptides will. |

Skippie,
Glad you found what you are looking for, some sites are great about telling you what will mix well and what won't I know an email to makingcosmetics.com or GOW is usually answered quickly.
Just in case you need answers in the future, that are hard to find. Or we don't know for sure.

If you look at the Hyaluronic Powder they sell at Skinactives, they don't say anything about not being able to combine it with other ingredients. So, it's something I've never worried about. However, if you email them with a question, they're always very helpful.
I buy my Coenzyme Q10 from Skinactives as well, but it is oil soluble. |
