Hi!
I was frying something and some oil spit out of the pan and onto my forehead. I instinctively remembered that people used to put butter on their burns and did that, but now the affected area on my forehead has a little bubble, and I'm scared it will be bad once it starts healing. I put some neosporin on it, but haven't touched it for several hours.
Any suggestions, so as not to make it turn into an ugly mess on my forehead?

Sorry to hear about that!
Do you have any tamanu oil? It helps reduce inflammation and scarring. |

Manuka honey is supposed to work wonders! It's used specifically for burn wounds that are difficult to treat. |

no tamanu oil or manuka honey. I do have regular old raw honey though, and algae oil! I'll put these on and cross my fingers it doesn't turn into an ugly red spot.
THANKS!!!

I suggest, at this point since you have a blister and you take chances of infection, buy a fresh bottle of Hydroxy Peroxide from your pharmacy wash the area with it, and apply polysporin, Do Not Pick! in about 3 days it should be crusted and gone.
Natural stuff also helps: oregano oil great for making sure you don't get infected
washing or misting the area with chamomile tea and chamomile tea compresses
colloidal silver spray the area and is a few days is completely healed and you don't take chances of infection...
Good luck and keep us updated. |

No butter or HP! Both can do more damage. Aloe is the best thing if you can apply right away. Manuka honey would be a great choice also. If you don't have either I'd just use polysporin. |

neosporin or any antibiotic ointment is one of the best things you can do, it makes a huge difference rather one scars or does not scar. This has always been my doc's advice. |
