| has anybody tried skin whitening sessions in the beauty parlor?? i have tried thios a few days ago.. the place was called IMAGINE SKINCARE AND HAIR.. the esthetician was named HOANG DAI, and she used mainly JANNSEN white secrets line on me to de-pigment my skin. sadly, each session costed about $300 (with take home products).. so i didnt get to have more sessions cos it was kinda pricey... i was want to know what kind of skin whitening/bleaching do they do in china, HK, taiwan, etc... |

I think most HK gals avoided mainland's products or buying Japanese brands from mainland directly... b'coz some are not seriously tested before they comes to market and many "fake" ones, and there's a bit risk. So we normally buy those asian products that are available in Hong Kong because HK has more strict regulation on imported skincare / make-up stuffs.
Most popular whitening may be Japanese brands, then US brands. |

do u know any methods of skin whitening sessions in HK? i know for sure that in the philippines, they have amny ways... they have the "peel&bleach sessions", they also have the body whitening scrub,etc... but how about hongkong, and do you know how much they charge? also, i agree that asian whitening products work alot better (for me) than american brands...  |

Hello to all,
I'm looking for a whole body whitener or brightener .I'm very dark, I have been useing different hydroquinone 2% products but I prefer natural products. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. please email me:

| hydroquin didn't mess up your skin? i learn my lesson with that, never again. thanks to white secret i got some good bleaching soap, now all i need is a good whitening lotion. |

| in long term usage of HQ, you will experience hyperpigmentation, darkening to the skin when exposed to sun.. and other bad effects of HQ.. so try not to use it |

| dont ever use hydroquinone.. whats better are natural products such as licorice whitening which can be bought in this websitewww.naturefina.com , they are much faster and alot better than HQ hope this helps |

majman what happened when you used hydroquinone? I was going to start using it but I have read about some bad things happening. If used properly with sun-block and not over using I thought it is safe. Please email about your experiences in skin lighteneing. I am just starting out and don't want to make any mistakes. Email me

In Taiwan, you can go to the derm and get whitening shots. From what I gathered on various msg boards, they are basically vit c injections, don't know the % though. The effects only last a few weeks and you have to go back to get more shots.
Also Fancl has an oral supplements that suppose to whiten the skin. It is quite popular in Japan and Taiwan. |

| so just like collagen shots, vitamin C shots are done under the epidermis? anyway, there are alot of whitening pills in ASIA right now. from speedwhite pills, to tathione, to atomolan, to shukriyuki, etc.... even the dermatologists in asia sell them to their patients who seek to have whiter skin like the celebs. |

| ok, I'm white, my skins just a little well it's sort of red sort of like a permanent blush, but not really. anyway I'm british and irish. so maybe that will give you an idea of my skin color. I want to whiten my skin. any suggestions? |

White_secrets, hi i am new. I have been using HQ products for a long time recently i stopped using it on my face and started using a different product without HQ, i would like to change my body lotion but don't know the lotion and soap that will be as effective as HQ any clue? Fyi i am black. |

| Oh so after you stop using Hydroquinone, your face goes darker under the sun??? My skin wasn't so dark before and I was given a prescribed 5% hydroquinone from my dermatologist. It also does well to acne! My skin was smooth like a baby! Everyone told me my skin was nice and soft! It worked well and people said I looked really pale! I had no idea that it was bad for you though. After, I ran out of the cream and never went to get any more. Now my skin looks so much darker too. I just thought I was spending too much time under the sun. |
