anyone tried this? Some people swear by it....uses galvanic current to lessen wrinkles, tighten face and zap zits.Supposedly nuskin spent like over 100 million in research that went behind the product.I am not a MLM person but if the machine works I will buy it.

I've been lusting after this for ages - I saw a demonstration where it was used on just one side of the face and you could really see a difference in terms of lifting. I didn't buy it because I had just purchased the STOP device, but I was really tempted. What puts me off a little is the fact that you have to keep on buying the facial serums that are used with it - and they are quite expensive. If you use the search function I think you will find some other posts on it here on the Forum.

well I dont think you have to buy their serums, someone said they used olive oil...I heard that lots of stars use it and sophia loren has had galvanic treatments and she looks great although I am sure she had a nip or 2.I wonder how it affects fillers in the face and for that matter fat?I would hate to melt anything under the skin!

Galvanic current has been used for years in salon treatments, there's no worry about fat loss as it's not heating the lower layers of the skin like RF treatments. I've also been looking at the ones on Ebay - I'm still tempted! I hope you get one so you can let me know what you think!

They sell them at my local spa and when I asked the nurse about the system she said that the secret of the whole thing is in the serum - but, of course they're going to say that because they want to have on-going sales.

I just bought one from the IBS trade show in Vegas. Like a fool I had them sign me up for the auto ship of the gels that are a mess to use (for me anyway). I canceled the auto ship for the gels and will use my own concoction to spread on my face. $60 a month is more than I care to spend on those little gels. I can't believe the mark up on cosmetic products. I finally got to see first hand on how much beauty products cost. It just kills me to pay retail. I got a ticket on a fluke (free). If you find one on ebay for $230 or less go for it. It would be a good price. I can't tell you how it works on me yet as I only have done one treatment. The price on those treatment gels that to be used with the device will kill your wallet.

Your not suppose to use the device up to two weeks after having botox. That probably goes for fillers. I would ask first before purchasing one if you get fillers. I do know about the botox because I looove botox and told the rep.

The DermaWand and Nuskin Galvanic Spa are totally different in that the DermaWand delivers oxygen into the skin. The Nuskin device delivers a galvanic current. Both oxygen and galvanic therapy have been around for a long time in the beauty therapy business. Whether the treatments actually deliver any real benefit is probably open for debate - but both are well established spa treatments.

I haven't noticed any changes yet. I'm also having problems with the gels that come along with the kit. The gels seem to dry out on my skin to fast..like balling up, which is weird because I have oily skin. I found a websitewww.organic-natural-pesticide-free.com/galvanic-spa-gel-alternative.html that I will try before forking out anymore money for those nuskin gels. If I can't slide the machine over my face smoothly what's the point.

I just started using the Nuskin galvanic spa and am pretty wowed by it. The serums are pricey but nice. I get two uses out of each vial and just keep spritzing my face with mineral water to help the head slide better.

I can't recall where I read about the Miracle II Neutralizer and soap but it was not favorable. Of course it would help if I could find the article to really tell who was reviewing the products...

The whole reason I bought the system is that I like Estee Lauder's Perfectionist Power Correcting Patches. They have a teeny battery that zaps you while you wear the gel patches around your eye area. These things are totally the bomb. They make the eye area soft, smooth and tight for about 6-8 hours. Same principle, I think, as the galvanic device. Tell me if I'm wrong. Anyway, the spa thing gave me the same results but all over the face and neck.
To be continued, but I like it a lot so far!

Hi
I bought mine from eBay. There are many sellers there. Also I saw one on MakeUpAlley.com for swap.

The patches are nice! I believe they are $100 for 8 and they are single use, so still pretty pricey.

My sister has this and although she says she hasn't used it in a few months that she found it totally works and saw a reduction in the very few wrinkles that she has. Very tempting!

I put a link to that Mircle stuff and the person has a contact number. I'm going to give her a call and ask about the whole routine. She puts before and after pics. I tried spraying plain water..maybe I will try the mineral water.

What made you decide on mineral water instead of plain water?

I really want this thing to work without a lot of hassle.

Hi
Why a mineral water? I figgered the extra magnesium (already in the serum) calcium and what not might help better than plain tap water with all the chlorine! I use Avene but any would prob work just fine.

This works just fine for giving it the necessary slip. The vials contain just way too much liquid for one treatment for my little ol face! It would be dripping off! So I get about 2 uses each out of each vial and I see nice results in plumpness and smoothness.....so far! It does take a commitment of 10 min twice a week. Not bad.

Fawnie,
Do you know if you can use the Nuskin on other parts of the body to help with firmness, etc.? Thanks!

Yes, the device comes with 4 heads: one for face, one for body. one for hair, and one for spot treatment. It comes with face serums and a bottle of body slimming gel.

I tried the body unit and gel on my arms but didn't notice anything after one treatment. *duh* It is supposed to be used twice a day for cellulite treatment of the body, but that's just too much for me.

The unit is about the size of a Lancome blush compact and about that slim. It takes AAA batteries. The different metal heads snap onto the unit and then you program it and move it over your face in a specific way. The DVD that comes with it explains it very well. It's a nifty little toy!!

I don't know if anyone else is familiar with iontophoresis. It's used in physical therapy to move treatment products such as lidocaine deeper into the skin. It uses electric current. It's a fairly widely accepted modality. So I'm thinking that at least the Nuskin spa device will get the products into the skin deeper. The problem is buying the negatively and positively charged serums that go with this unit. Expensive.

Fawnie, you can buy +/- Gels on Ebay, they come from the UK. The bottles are around 150ml and they're not too expensive. They have different kinds, like Vitamin C, Vitamin E etc. I think they're called SPC Gels - I'm away from home at the moment so can't double check - but have a look on Ebay.
