What are the celebs using on their legs to make them so smooth and shiny?
I can never get my legs to look quite like theirs and I'm hoping to find out how for this summer.
Are they shaving or waxing or using depilatory cream? Are they using oil on their legs or regular lotion? |

I think the following steps are helpful prior to walking the red carpet:
1. Hair removal with whatever method you prefer.
2. Dry brushing. It makes legs smooth and shiny as it removes dead skin cells and promotes circulation. It should be done regularly (every day or every other day) to get the best results.
3. Self tanning.
4. A dry body oil will give legs more shine than a body cream. For a special occasion, one can use a slightly shimmery body oil. Nuxe is supposed to be good. |

I don't know how accurate this is, but when I left Los Angeles(where I used to live), many of the celebs were using laser treatments for everything possible! From hair removal to cellulite to hyper/hypo-pigmentation to vericose veins. Many of my personal friends got liposuction done; and, of course, weekly massages and professional tanning treatments. On a down-to-earth note, the best leg workout I have found is fluidity, a ballet dancer's workout that yields the best legs I have seen(Goldie Hawn swears by ballet as the fountain of youth, and look at her legs! )It's amazing what leg makeup can also do for those special occasions; many of the celebs in person look normal with the same imperfections we all have. I say, do the best you can with what you were given, and take good care of yourself w/exercise, and sleep well at night knowing you are not in debt for the sake of vanity. Sorry for the length ![Embarassed](images/smiles/redface.gif) |

Well I don't know what the celebs use but just this week I picked up a bottle of Salley Hansen Airbrush Legs in tan glow and wowsa, my legs look flawless.
I had a bruise I wanted to cover up. It doesn't completely cover every imperfection, like moles but it sure does make them way less noticable. I found it has a slight shimmer to it.
I'm very pleased with this product.
HTH,
Regina
I just wanted to add that I had those "bumps" on the back of my thighs and got rid of them using Amlactin lotion from Wal-Greens. My legs are very smooth & soft now. |

Thanks for bringing up Sally Hansen's airbrush tan, that is a nice product; I've even used it as face foundation in a pinch (I do not have sensitive skin).
Amlichin lotion from Walgreens, huh? I must try that product out; Expensive?
Thanks for the imput. ![Smile](images/smiles/smile.gif) |

AmLactin lotion isn't cheap, maybe $13.00 a bottle. You can get a printable coupon at their website amlactin dot com
It was only available by prescription until recently, now it's available OTC. CVS carries it also.
Since it isn't cheap, I only use on my problem areas. I bought it to treat my Seborrheic keratoses but found it helped the back of leg bumps also.

Thanks, Reggie! That's exactly where my bumps are, is on the back of my legs. $13 isn't bad for a product that will work; Nivia cellulite treatment, with the patches, are $18!
When it comes to tan legs, I love Fake Bake. It's the best color I have found and stays even longer than any other I have found.
Regards,
kellie |

Kelly,
I didn't mean cellulite bumps, sorry to confuse you. I meant keratosis pilaris, commonly known as "chicken skin".
I'm still looking for something that works on cellulite. ![Razz](images/smiles/razz.gif) |

Speaking of legs; I recently read that Pam Anderson sprays her legs with Pam Nonstick spray for photo shoots. ![Exclamation](images/smiles/exclaim.gif) |

I think they use Salley Hansen Airbrush Legs. A friend of mine in Cape town worn that and it was as same as those celebriaties. |

I guess I never realized that there was dry leg oil. I'm confused about the consistency. Does it go on like a lotion but have no moist residue? It sounds very interesting. |
