Some interesting stuff in that thread about self injection which I wouldn't even consider personally I think too many things could go wrong, and instead of saving money, a person could end up losing more than dollars. |

Exactly Angelfire! I have been trained by RN's to administer both insulin for one person and later B-12 to my father for pernicious anaemia and neither are IM yet different in placement! I cannot imagine risking fillers, Botox ect. without proper training! |

I would say that's a far cry from fillers, Botox ect. You really can't always trust that a trained injector will get them right. |

I dated a doctor who told me it took him five years before he felt he really knew what he was doing with injectables. That's why you only want to go to someone who has been doing this for many years with many different types of products so he or she has a good idea of the outcome. |

There was another thread regarding diy filler injection ..the woman who was orginally really into the concept read a very devasting medical article about the possible problems connected w/doing this..and posted back warning everyone not to try!
It seems to me there enough who have issues associated w/getting fillers professionally injected..not to risk injecting them oneself.
(i'm not including the homeopathic water injection ..since i know nothing about that process) |

@jasminerose, l'll explain you tomorrow,l'm going to find a link wrote in english... l'm going to go to sleep right now, @ dark moon you are right it is very different, but to say the true l'd like to try one day maybe only a drop on my arm and see what happen , like l've done with dermaroller... maybe using only janurolic acid... very diluted and with a short lasting time...maybe but maybe l'll never do it... so yes we have to think so much before to have filler from our self more l do not think it is a good way to take care of our skin, the result is only on surface, the line disappear only for a wile ! better to take are of wricle with other tools, maybe single needle ?
ok tomorrow l'll explain about made, also about placentex, in italy are used from women's like us , and from doctors.. |

hello ...l've looking for the MADE guna protocol one very well explained... it was wrote in english... in a doctor web site...it was very helpful because there were pictures of acupressure where to do the little injections, somebody make the injections only on the acupressure point, but personally l've done injection around all the face with insulin syringe l chose the thinner one , and l go deep around mm4 in the skin pushing the needle from down to up with an angle of 45° really very easy and close to pain free ... l'm not the only one to do like this in a notice italian forum "forum al femminile" many women do like this... by the way l'll keep looking for the original MADE GUNA protocol with pics...
it is totally safe in italy u can buy in pharmacy with out doctor prescription, it is like to inject water , the result is cumulative cause it is not a filler , but a natural really good way to improve your skin.l've find this in english
it is little difficult to explain myself in english with this kind of technical stuff, but l'm here to answer your questions if you need (:
GUNA’s innovative natural medications have a variety of benefits:
active ingredients, promoting fast immune response, assuring no side effects or contraindications and not provoking allergenic reactions;
the treatment action is focused on the main aesthetic problems such as: wrinkles, cellulite, adiposity, muscle tone and ageing;
ease of administration according to mesotherapeutic techniques and neurological points that assure best local activity.
MADE® Method – Treatment for wrinkles and skin slackening!
MADE® is a natural homeopathic medication used both as a treatment for reducing the signs of aging and as a support for maintaining a youthful face.
Indications:
skin tone improvement;
reduction of face and neck wrinkles;
local treatment of skin aging;
stimulation of connective tissue metabolism.
What kind of results could be expected?
MADE® promotes a “flattening” effect on wrinkles that improves with every procedure thanks to a better metabolism of skin cells. MADE® is not a filler.
The results are visible immediately, as the skin looks more healthy and shiny. The tissue tone improves considerably and the wrinkles smooth out.
How long time does it take?
The standard protocol consists of 1 session a week for 8-10 weeks (usually, the first results are clearly visible after the 3rd session). To keep the results under control, 1 session every month or 2 months is required.
It is recommended to follow the home therapy protocols during the homeo-mesotherapy treatment procedures.
How long does the effect last?
Everything depends on the initial condition and clinical evolution. Activities such as sun tanning promote collagen destruction (catabolism) and skin-aging. In this case it is recommended to take a cycle of MADE® treatment.
What are the results of clinical trials?
Clinical trials have been performed from 1998 up to 2003. The trials included 578 females (aged between 35 and 75) and 103 males (between 40 and 70).
The participants were applied linear infiltration on the area of wrinkles by means of mesotherapeutic technique. The treatment course consisted of 8 sessions, one session a week. For some patients the treatment was continued as follows: 1 session a month for 2-3 months.
The results were evaluated before and after the program by means of subjective classification of the visual and tactile characteristics of the wrinkles and the slackening of the face and neck tissues. A mild reaction to the treatment was observed in 20 cases (3%) with slight erythema in the injection site. Erythema disappeared after few minutes.
MADE® is proven to be a highly effective means with a high level of tolerability and suitable for all types of wrinkles and relaxed skin. The best results were observed in female patients aged of 30-50.
What is GUNA® COLLAGEN?
It is a natural homeopathic medication with an application similar to MADE®. It has one ingredient – collagen that is homeopathically treated. The medication is usually applied together with MADE® during each session in order to obtain more long-lasting results. It could be used also for local treatment of skin aging.
Guna provides a variety of homeopathic medicines and cosmetic creams for home therapy treatment. Health means also a good overall appearance. Your doctor may prescribe you a detoxification therapy to improve your outer appearance, to balance your hormonal activity and support your immune system. It helps to overcome skin damage.
Cosmetic creams for treatment of certain problems:
Serum Vitae Bio-lifting cream – an anti-wrinkle cream with an applicator. Apply along wrinkles. Can be used between procedures MADE®.
Tamanu Arnica cream is rich in tamanu oil, may be used for psoriasis-like skin problems.
Natur 3 is a nourishing cream for breast. Helps to improve tone of the breast.
Natur 4 is a revitalizing cream for the face and body. It prevents oxidative damage, dehydration and aging of facial and body skin.
Natur 5 is a toning leg cream. It prevents legs swelling and has a special toning effect on the leg vessels.

What exactly is Guna-Collagen?
http://www.gunainternational.com/archivio/prodotti/16/Guna-Collagen.pdf
I used to get collagen injections a few years back but you used to have to go through tests to make sure you didn't have an allergy to it. For that reason, it went out of fashion and the hyaluronic based fillers became more popular.
I'm inclined to think that the Platelet Rich Plasma injections (which use your own blood plasma) might be a better option. Anyway, I hope so, because I'm having that done on the 13th.
As for self injection. There is a forum dedicated to this over at Skindeep. Many people are injecting their own Botox and fillers, it's so much cheaper. There are lots of UTube videos that demonstrate how to do it. I was seriously thinking about having a go myself - however, there's been allot of discussion on the stability of Botox (it needs to be kept cold during transit) and people were complaining that their Botox was ineffective. All of this has put me off the whole thing. But I would NEVER inject fillers - that takes serious technique and experience IMO. |

Keliu, I just had to go to that site!! Oh yea I really wouldn't have the slightest fear about injecting myself with Botox. FILLERS, are a whole other matter. I'd be afraid I would end up looking like Mickie Rourke, or worse. ![Bad Grin](images/smiles/badgrin.gif) |

You are both braver than me, it's not the needle I would be afraid of hitting a vein or something I shouldn't trying to inject it myself?
Fillers would be out of the question I just believe some things are best left in the hands of a skilled professional. (and even then you have to find a good one). |

With Botox in the forehead, you're not going near any veins - it's fairly straight forward. You would be surprised at how many people do this. I was horrified at first, but like everything, you get used to the idea. I felt that way about dermarolling when I first heard about it - now everyone's doing it. You can buy Botox kits that come with the Botox, sterile solution, syringe and instructional DVD from mybasics.com
What concerns me is not the injecting, but the safety and stability of the product. |

I felt the same initially reading about dermarolling but shock I am seriously considering it! I don't have the forehead issues it would be attacking those gorgeous 11's and that is so close to the eyes it's a bit scary to me!
Typing that out I bet you will say it gives a temporary lift to the sagging lids, if you do your forehead? LOL
I guess being a newbie it might be scarier to me having never had Botox? |

There is no way you are going to damage your eyes by rolling your 11s. Sometimes thinking about things is far more scarier than just doing it. |

I am actually researching the best way to go about it and plan on the 1 mm deep roller and possibly a .25 for product penetration? But to be honest the deep rolls seen the most productive.
I tend to worry more about the damage I might manage than pain as I have a really great pain threshold and if there is blood that doesn't phase me at all!
Maybe my next order and new venture! ![Smile](images/smiles/smile.gif) |

So of course I had to go to THAT site also, Keliu. OMG I was like a kid in a candy store. My cosmetic surgeon wants me to do a video for him in Feb. and I'm sure I'll get something for it, I'm hoping for Thermage for upkeep. I figure these "little things " like Botox, I can DMS! |

JasmineRosey - are you aware that the the Guna Collagen is derived from rabbits and pigs? Wouldn't that make it untenable for you?
Quote: |
In accordance with the observations of the father and founder of Homotoxicology, Dr. H. H. Reckeweg, “Organotherapy” with homeopathized organ preparations is based on the use of pigs or rabbits as donors because the chemical and biological structure of this species shares many common characteristics with the human body. |
