I have recently read that products containing antioxidants and/or essential oils should be packaged in a container (such as a tube or bottle) that provides a strong oxygen barrier. Otherwise some ingredients will lose their effectiveness. Should I be concerned about purchasing a product with antioxidants and essential oils that comes in a jar? |

there are a lot of people who can answer this better than I can but it is true about trying to keep the product from oxidizing. that's why the container should be more opaque and tightly capped at all times and I keep mine out of light and actually refrigerate my c-serum.
Some products can be bought in containers that do not allow oxygen in for this reason.
Always use the product up in an efficient and timely manner for maximum effectiveness- it won't keep forever or for all that long once opened. |

Well, I believe proper packaging is essential to maintain the products effectiveness.
But it also depends on concentration. If the essential oil/antioxidants has a really low concentration, then I don't think there is a problem packing it in jar. |

Packaging is an important thing. However not every product is packaged to maintain the effectiveness.
However, it really depends on the producers. Good brand normally consider packaging is one factor of quality. |
