Does anyone else have this problem? Most notably any red toned lipsticks. Turn bright (and not so flattering) pink, and then then I can't scrub the pink off. It's like a chemical reaction that stains my lips.

Also, some foundations that go orange when you put them on. Anyone know what causes that? A particular dye or something? Makes me crazy, not to mention angry that I've wasted $$.

Oh yeah, some foundations oxidize worse than others and turn nasty on you! Wearing a primer helps!

About the red lipsticks....that's why I hate red lipstick! Sometimes a red gloss is better.

yes! Many foundations turns yellow tone when you wear for 4-5 hours and make the face look a little bit dirty..especially the Chanel foudation in my experience.

As to lipstick. some light color is better than the red one I think.

I find to keep the colour true I use a lip pencil to line and then fill in my lips with the same lip pencil. Usually when I use my red lipstick it stays red and stays on fairly long. Products I use: MAC lip pencil in Cherry, MAC lipstick in MAC Red. Also note I am very pale.

As for foundation - I find that it depends on the ingredients. I've used quite a few foundations and there are ones that just react to my skin. Unfortunately its a bit of an experiment - and always good to get samples before you commit.
