I have been doing face exercises every day for about 5 months and about a month ago I noticed my pores seeming more enlarged across my cheeks and by my nose. I'm 29 so this may be a genetic thing due to aging but I'm not sure. It seems coincidental that its happened at the same time as me beginning face exercises.

Is it possible in trying to make my face look more slender I've ruined my skin?

I'm not sure, but I suspect what may be happening is that with all the movement, congestion from beneath is coming to the surface and just needs to be cleared/extracted.
That's what happens with OCM massage, so maybe its similar with facial exercises.

Thanks for your reply.

You're saying when you start OCM massage, pores enlargen?

Laazrockit this hasn't been my experience and I have 20 years plus of face exercises under my belt.

Large pores can be caused by dirt, dead skin and oil being clogged in there which is why face masks that extract dirt from pores and exfoliants that remove dead cells can sometimes appear to minimize pores. Of course if your pores have been clogged for a while, the extraction (as in the case with OCM) may leave huge gaping holes...but keeping your skin clean and the pores from getting filled up with dirt again I believe may in time make them appear to shrink and become smaller.

Check out Dr Schultz's clip on what causes enlarged pores: http://www.dermtv.com/what-causes-and-minimizes-enlarged-pores

Thanks a truckload. You're a star and so is this Dr Schultz.

Just have to keep steaming and scrubbing my face until fingers crossed, these pin pricks on my cheeks go away...

Its possible its prompting your skin to produce more oil from being handled. I'm guessing this will pass as time goes on.
