Hi,

I seem to have uncontrolaby frowning on the right side of my forehead! It's been happening for about 10 years.

I don't always frown, it's just some times when I'm on my way home from work I'll catch a glimps of my reflextion on the train and my forehead is all over the place!

Why does this happen and is there and easy way to stop it other than fixing my right eyebrow to my cheek! Laughing

I've tried Frownies and as much as they made it look better in the morning, they didn't really stop me doing it! I also had trouble sleeping with them on. I keept waking up.

Don't really want botox! Sad I don't want it going wrong and my face droops down on the right side! Sad

Have you thought about using a topical muscle relaxer like Relax-A-Line to help relax those muscles to some extent? (cellularskinrx.com) Or you could try getting botox in very, very small amounts - not enough to paralyze the muscles but enough to stop the extreme expressions?....If you do a search on acetyl hexapeptide 3, you will learn that there are many products that use this ingredient. It is a proven muscle relaxer but must be used in a 10% concentration to be effective. It is NOT botox but good enough to make a difference in moderate/shallow lines that are formed from muscular contractions. Good luck!

I totally agree with Betterat40. I have been using the relax-a-line for a few months and it is amazing! Actually, the other day I was driving and it was pretty sunny. I had taken my husband's car, so I didn't have my sunglasses. I was squinting like there was no tomorrow.. I happened to look in the rearview mirror, and saw all these deep wrinkles around my eyes and mouth(from frowning & squinting at the sun) but my forehead was a smooth as a baby's bottom. It was shocking! I laughed out loud at how wierd it looked, like my forehead wasn't really a part of my face, but was glad to see the product was working!

Hi,

Thanks for both your comments! Very Happy

I think I'll give Relax-a-Line a go! Where is the best place to get it from? I live in the UK.

Is there different types or just the one for any area? And one last question, do you apply it to where you get a crease in your skin or to either side... or do you just put on in the general area?

Thanks again!! Very Happy

you get it fromwww.cellularskinrx.com I think they are out of Texas, USA.
You are supposed to apply it between your eyebrwos and on wrinkles on your forehead. You'll notice a feeling of resistance right away when you try to scrunch up your forehead, but the results get better after about a month of using it. I just ordered another bottle!
I am addicted!

...ask them to mark it as a gift so as to avoid those nasty customs charges Bad Grin

I actually use it all over cause I like the hydration you get from the hyaluronic acid in it Smile

Can you use it under your eyes? Can anyone tell me how much it costs?

Thanks

You can use it under your eyes but unless you think those lines are made from muscle movements, it won't make much difference (except to the extent that your skin likes the hyaluronic acid in the serum.) It's really meant to be used on lines that are caused by squinting, frowning, etc. However, guapagirl uses it allover her face and loves her results...Anyhow, you can get it atwww.Cellularskinrx.com. It costs $36.00 and seems to last forever.

Yeah - I think a product with Argireline is definitely the way to go. Just make sure it has a 10% concentration. I have not tried Relax-a-line but have been using Alphaderma and noticed that it was actually harder for me to frown than usual.

Most definately try using a product with Argireline. I, like Mabsy, am using the AlphaDerma CE, Prep and Okusil from Janson-Beckett. It really does work! Right now they are having awesome holiday prices. Dancing

Have to agree with Mabsy and Winnie on the Argireline. Definitely the way to go. I use the Esthers Secret Argireline serum.
