Yesterday I took quite a few Mothers Day Pictures and when I saw them my jaw dropped and I almost started crying!
I knew I had wrinkles but I didn't know when I smile my eyes get covered by my under eye wrinkles and my crows feet are more like dinosaur feet!!!
This morning I have been researching products from Oil of Olay to Botox, which due to my husband loosing his job 4 months ago I won't be getting..
Anyway I am looking for good wrinkle help that really works, there are sooooo many to choose from.
Can anyone help me??

oil of olay isnt expensive compared to whats really out there (skinceuticals, cellex c, etc etc)
u are looking for a wrinkle cream or an eye cream? |

That's another problem I have.
I don't really know what the difference is.
I am completely wrinkly all surrounding areas of my eyes, if that helps.
And Oil of Olay is less expensive but does it work? |

It's only my opinion, and I hate to be discouraging, but I don't think that anything applied topically, can erradicate existing wrinkles..
Products containing Matrixly, Argereline or Hyaluronic Acid, can help to fill in and/or soften lines and wrinkles, but that's about it.
The other thing I would recommend is to use nourishing products, that will feed your skin the anti-oxidants it needs, to regenerate + help with collagen synthesis..
Have a look at Juice Beauty Serums which are very reasonably priced, and are just as good (if not better) than high end products that promise you the world, and don't deliver.

I liked that one too it sounded refreshing but the I found it didn't make the top 10 or 3 for that matter.

And no its ok I need you to be honest with me, please!I want honest help, I appreciate it!!!
Well I'm 35 and my face is thinning so all this mess has really just started, so hopefully there is some hope.
The last rated creams I saw said
#1 was Dermitage and #2 Lift SP and #3 was Roc
What do you think about that stuff? |

Watch out! So called "ratings" of skincare that you find online is almost always an ad in disguise!!
Honestly, the best advice you can get is on forums like EDS, where people share what works well for them. |

Have you thought about adding a Retinol product in the evening (either over the counter or a perscription retinoid that you can get on line)? Are you wearing sunscreen each and every day? If you are trying to keep the price down, those would be the 2 things I would say to start with. Remember too that almost everyone crinkles around their eyes when they smile. How do your lines look when you aren't smiling? |

As you are just 35, your condition can be improved, for sure!
I suggested that you try Retin-A. It does not cost too much but it really works. |

Battyiam - first of all...try not to panic!  It's really awful when it first starts, isn't it? I got back on the wagon with supplements and it really made a difference for me - alpha lipoic acid, hyarulonic acid, A,B,C,D,E, salmon oil, etc. Murad has one called wet suit that is a little pricey but great. I personally use the Arbonne NutriMin-C or Lush Enchanted Eye Cream, but I do not have too many problems with my eye area. Have you thought about using the Olay Regenerist dermapods? It is an 8 week eye treatment and I have heard good things. It costs around $20. Remember, too, that results aren't always instant. It usually takes about a month, but soon you will look in the mirror and the really bad stuff will be a distant memory.  |

In my opinion the trick is to delay getting wrinkles as long as possible. Once you have them though botox is the only thing that works.
Your aim should be prevention. And then once the wrinkles start try to prevent them from getting worse.
Sun is the number one enemy. Stay out of the sun and wear a sunscreen. |

Don't forget Copper Peptides, around the eye you need to start slow, but go to http://www.ncnproskincare.com and http://www.skinbio.com/usingsrcps.html#1 and study up on it.
You should also look at some type of light peel for crows feet. Slow and steady peels with light TCA or Alpha/ Beta type. This will allow the Copper Peptides to perform better also.
Also, for the price of 1 or 2 rounds of botox you could look at something like Baby Quasar or Light Stim.
Take Vitamin C also to help build the collagen.
And finally, like others have said, try the exercises. They are almost free. |

Go for gold and use Retin A or Tazorac. Alldaychemist is a good site to buy from if you want to get it cheap! Retinoids will really make a difference and they have the most scientific proof behind them. Anything else is a luxury, but retnoids are a necessity  |

| honestly, botox is the holy grail of weapons to fight crows feet,not only does it significantly reduce them but keeps the lines from getting deeper. For some lucky people it will work for up to 5 months. Notox has come down a lot!It pays to shop around and ask drs how much PER UNIT they charge ,its down to as low as 8 or 9 dollars a unit. 20 units should erase your crows feet....you will be amazed! |

My sister in law just sent me all the pictures she took on Mothers Day. I was so impressed with how my skin looked. I looked flawless and glowing in the pics. I normally don't like getting my picture taken. I was pleasantly surprised at how good my skin looked. My hair, well that's a different story. I'm growing it out so it looks terrible right now.
The only product that has made a difference for me has been Renova, a form of Retin-A. Especially around my eyes. It has gotten rid of many of my lines and the few expression lines I have left have been softened greatly. I've tried Botox and I think it's great but I see no need for it right now. My skin looks great. No other product has made such a dramatic difference over time.
I had alot of fines lines and sun damage from tanning beds and smoking for many many years. I was looking 10 years older just 2 years ago. Not anymore. |

How long have you been using Retin A/Renova and when did you start noticing the changes in your skin? Just curious, but would you mind sharing your skincare routine? I'm currently doing the Obagi Nuderm regimen (just finished 6 weeks) but I really think the Retin A is the catalyst behind the program. Thanks!!

I totally agree! Adding Kassy's DIY C serum and a sunscreen will take you a long way on a short budget!!

Hi, my name is Sheila and like you i am new here. I am experiencing the same problems. I'm almost 33 with 3 kids and have been battling Melasma for years. As a result of treatment and sun exposure my face is aging faster than i want.
So here i am...learning. |

I've been using Renova or about 6 years but I never used it consistently until the last two years. That's when I finally got smart and stopped using tanning beds. I also did Obagi Nu Derm last year. I did my 18 weeks and then went back to just Renova at night. I didn't notice any real impressive improvements to my skin until about month 6 on Renova. The improvements continued until I was using it consistently for a little over a year. Now the Renova is mainly just preventing and slowing down any further aging. I recently read an article about Retin-A and Renova. It said that a person will notice the most improvement to existing damage using Retin-A or Renova in the first year of use. After the first year the most of what will be repaired and reversed will have already happened and now the products will do more to slow down future aging and prevent further damage. I did notice some changes to my skin after 3 months on Renova but I really noticed alot around month 6. Everyone is different I know some ladies who say they've noticed changes in as little as a month. I guess alot depends on your age and the amount of damage you already have to your skin. If your skin is already in decent shape your results won't be as dramatic as someone with alot of damage.
My routine is simple. I finally got smart and realized most skin care is hype. Nothing can do what prescription Retin-A or Renova can do.
Here is my current routine. I am still in the process of looking for my HG antioxidant product. I've just starting using two new ones I'm testing out. I haven't used them long enough to decide if I will continue them.
AM
Cleanse. I use many different cleansers. I have a huge stash of miscellaneous cleansers I'm trying to use up. Mostly in the morning I just use a Ponds facial wipe to wipe off any remaining residue from my nighttime regimen.
Next I use an antioxidant serum or cream. Right now I'm trying out two new products. La Roche-Posay Redermic, normal to combination skin. The second product is La Roche-Posay Biomedic
Potent-C 10.5 Concentrate.
After that I use a sunscreen. Right now I'm into physical sunscreens so I am using Devita Daily Solar Protective Moisturizer with SPF 30 or sometimes I use the body product on my face Solar Body Block SPF 30. The other sunscreen I use is Obagi's SPF 35.
That's it for the AM
PM
Cleanse. Like I said before I'm using up my cleanser stash. I do really like Oil cleansers like DHC and may stick with something like that once I use up the approximately 35 cleansers I have left in my stash.
Next I use Renova. I've been using it long enough where I don't need to wait after I cleanse to apply it.
I use Renova .050%. Sometimes I still mix it with Obagi's Blender but since I have no discoloration anymore I will probably stop using the Blender when I run out and just use Renova alone. If I ever see any pigmentation coming back I will start using some of the Obagi Nu Derm products again. They really work well with my skin.
Other than Renova all I use is a moisturizer. I have a ton of moisturizers in my stash I'm trying to use up. I am currently using Serious Skin Cares Plant Stem Cell Cream. My next jar of moisturizer I'll use will be my Juara moisturizer. Once I finish using my stash I will make a decision on which moisturizer I'll mainly stick with but being the product junkie that I am I will probably still continue to try new products.
I exfoliate once a week with various exfoliators. I have Kate Somervilles Exfolikate and Philosophy's Microdelivery peel and I also use more gentle products like peter Thomas Roths Buffing Beads or Patrica Wexlers two part exfoliator. I use whatever I'm in the mood for.
My mainstay products that I feel are the most important, more important than all other skin care are a good antioxidant and sunscreen in the morning and a prescription retinoid at night. It does not matter so much what brand you use as long as it's a good product and you like it. It also does not matter what other products you use along side these items as long as you like them and they don't interfere with the important products in your regimen that you should never be without, a good antioxidant, sunscreen and Retin-A or Renova or any of the other prescription retinoids.
I feel many ladies including myself in the past use too many products. You'll notice once you simplify your routine how much better your skin looks and feels with less. It's not the amount of products you can pile on your face that makes the difference. It's the ingredients and quality of the products you use that makes the difference.

| Thanks Keli13! Rileygirl's right -- you've got some great advice and suggestions. My plan is to complete the Nuderm program 18-24 weeks or whatever it takes to see the improvements I'm hoping for. After doing a lot of research and reading many, many posts about retinoids, I'm pretty convinced it's going to be a mainstay in my skincare regimen. I personally feel that I have some serious sundamage to reverse -- the best I can, anyway; and after that I'd like to maintain my new, healthier skin. Thanks for sharing!! |

Did you try St. Dalfour cream before? This cream is great for skin whitening, pimples, wrinkles, allergy, yellow spotted skin, stretch marks, freckles, black heads, skin blemishes or other skin problems. I shared my experienced about this cream here. Look for the post title "Dark circles are so frustrating" and "Has anyone used or heard of St. Dalfour cream original?". |

I just clicked on a Dermitage ad today. The #2 for this ad was Kumaara, and #3 was Eliz Arden.
Well, did anyone try Dermitage yet??? They're offering a free trial. |
