I used Dr Hauschka Cleansing Clay Mask several times, but every time I failed to mix the clay with water well. I followed the instruction: Mix two teaspoon of powder to two teaspoons of water and a dash of toner, as a result, the mixture just likes a clay soup, which is easy to drop down and can not result in a thorough cleansing. If just add a little water, the mixture likes mud, which is also difficult to apply on the face.
Who can share her experience of getting proper mixture, a medium to thickish paste and as a result, a great cleansing.

Thanks.

I am not sure if this will help you, kiki, but Vonstella and miranets describe how they used the mask in this review thread: http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=25834

For usage I just pour a little less than a table spoon into my palm and drip very warm water into it till I have reached my desired consistency, a medium to thickish paste. I try to do this after a warm shower so my pores are open. I let it dry and leave it on for 20 or so mins. Rinses off better and faster than any mask I have ever used. Its pricey but worth every last penny.

I just pack a thick thick layer on and leave to dry completely, it usually dries within 10 minutes and after another 5 that is when all the sebum spots appear. My skin is accustomed to very drawing masks and I don't find wetting the mask to be of any benefit - probably very advisable for someone with sensitive/dry skin though. If I leave on any longer than 30 mins my skin gets slightly irritated, starts to itch and become uncomfortable.

Try to get the mixture slightly thicker as opposed to runny and before you apply it to your face, mist your face well with water or toner. Helps you to spread the mixture on your face better. Should go on like a dream. Hope it helps!
