| I just bought another Dr Roller and will start dermarolling again after taking a break of three months. Any Vit C serums I've tried in the past go bad before I can ever use them up and I don't want to be throwing money away. So I guess I need one that is cheap but good and can throw it away without guilt, or an expensive one that will last longer. Suggestions appreciated, especially if you dermaroll. I also use SkinBiology's copper peptides. |

| Great question and thanks for asking! I was just wondering this myself and yesterday was trying to dig up info. I don't think I am ready to start doing DIY serums and have always relied on the sis to do this and send me her concoctions. But as far as the Vit C goes I'd just like to be able to buy one that is stable, pre-made and will last me a while without oxidizing. I am thinking of trying the Isomers brand as I've been delving in to their products as of late and loving the anti-redness serum. Supposedly their C serum is a stable form and on Ebay you can get it fairly reasonable. Would like to hear more suggestions though... |

Have you stored your serums in the fridge? It really helps them last longer.
If you are looking to use LAA I think SkinMedica's is stable because its in a silicone base. Anything water based w/LAA is not very stable. |

| Why buy when you can make it yourself soooooo cheap and soooooo fresh? It can be as simple as L ascorbic acid in distilled water. I don't think you can find anything commercially produced that is going to be REALLY fresh~! |

I've always made my own Vitamin C serum in the past. But I've decided to give the Osmosis Vitamin C Powder a try. It's a powder that you combine with a serum on a daily basis. It's supposed to have good stability and penetration capabilities.

I'm going to order the Trial Size of the Mismo and do what they suggest -- only put it on the back of one hand. What I will do is put it on the back of my hand AND using the back of my hand rub more on one side of my face only. On the other hand and side of my face I'll continue with my regular regimen of SkinBiology Skin Signals and squalane in AM and LacSal exfoliant PM. I think testing products like this is the only well to tell if they are working.
I will bookmark the other suggestions for future reference though. They all look great! Thanks! |

Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate is a stable Vitamin C
I learnt that Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate is a new vitamin C derivative that is both an effective antioxidant and collagen stimulator. Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate is stable as it is converted to free vitamin C by enzymes present in the skin only upon penetration. Hence, this ingredient can be used in a wide range of formulations without worries of oxidation. It therefore represents a stable precursor of vitamin C that ensures a constant delivery of vitamin C into the skin. In addition, I understand that this ingredient is safe to use and does not irritate most skin types.

I think this might be another term for MAP - Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, which is commonly used in cosmetic products. |

I am going to order the Mismo ACE serum too. I want to start dermarolling. I have been looking for a Vit C , I like the look of this so might try this and roller it in!
it gets some good reviews from what I have found. |

| I got my Mismo ACE Serum very quickly, considering it came from Australia, along with a moisturizer sample. I can't wait to start using it. I was going to wait until Jan. 1 to start because that's when I want to start my dermarolling (and my diet!) but I thought I'd read somewhere that you get better results by prepping the skin with Vit. C for a couple of weeks before rolling. Is that true? |

I honestly don't care for either I was just verifying what was posted in that they behave in a very similar way, and Dr. Todorov is a reliable source!  |
