one that is purely for skin rejuvenation. not to add any hormones in your body. Does it work? I have been reading good reviews on it and that estriol cream at 0.3 produced good results. Any input appreciated. thanks.

I tried for a year and it had no effect on my skin. But BHRT has dramatic effects on restoring things that are lost with natural hormone depletion.

Justine, did your doctor write a prescription for BHRT? All the docs. in my town do not trust BHRT and I do not know how to go about getting a prescription and the product! Any suggestions would be helpful!

Yes, where I live it is only available on prescription. Much expensive ongoing saliva testing is required as well. You ought to read the other threads here on BHRT. It is not primarily a beauty treatment. If you use too much, your estrogen level will rise and put you at higher risk for breast and reproductive cancer. I would not recommend it for anyone who is pre-menopausal, because you are making enough estrogen yourself. Smile

I just ordered one, but haven't tried it yet - however after reading Justine's experience, I'm not too hopeful.

Hi there all - I'm new here, haven't posted yet so here goes. I notice a distinct, practically immediate noticeable improvement in the appearance of my skin with topical application of estriol - the look of my skin is much livelier, smoother, moist, with decreased appearance of fine lines and better tone. I am 52, and am often mistaken for mid 40's or less. I have had a crappy complexion for most of my adult life, prone to acne, scarring, and discoloration and was feeling that I was looking older and tired as I fully entered menopause this year. On top of that, I got married to a wonderful-in-every way man this June and am making the transition to wife and stepmom too. Wheew!

In April I saw a Nurse Practitioner who specializes in Women's Health and Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy. Another source besides regular MDs might be to explore Naturopathic Physicians who might be close to you as well. Some DO's - doctors of osteopathy = MD equivalent to practice medicine might be a resource too, and lastly, checking with the nearest Compounding Pharmacy to find out who is writing prescriptions for bioidentical hormone therapy (BHT)in your area is an idea to find someone to help you decide if this is the right thing for you. I guess I'm not allowed to (grrr) link to a good article about the safety and pro-health benefits of estriol including skin benefits too but if you look up the appropriate world wide web location at virginiahopkinstestkits .com/bioidenticalestrogen .html - try running all those words together and i think you'll find it

All estrogen therapy must be balanced with an appropriate amount of progesterone to prevent uterine lining from building up and possibly contributing to cancer of the uterus. I highly recommend starting to look at these issues before you actually go into the change of life because there are actually a lot of choices/decisions to be made. For me I use approximately 0.25 mg of estriol cream on my face and neck, 0.25 mg elsewhere Hint: great help for "dryness" at another critical location Smile every other day and about .5 mg of estridiol and 25 mg progesterone cream daily on rotating skin sites on my body.

All in all I feel So-Much-Better on low dose BHT. Since I'm basically starting out on these there is still some adjustment in dosing ahead and now that I know more, I would like to discuss using primarily estriol for the bulk of hormone replacement and less estradiol. Go out there and get educated m'dears, you'll look better and feel better too.

PS I'm a registered nurse and massage therapist and I've tried to do my homework on this issue:) check it out:)

Hi Zizi, I ordered NuFace from Life Extension.

Hi tradethoughts, thanks for your post. I'm trying to locate a good doctor now.
