Hi
This cream is quite expensive, around $350. Has anyone tried or or know how it compares to Valmont Elixir?

I have not tried this, but have been curious about it myself. Very $$$$$ though! |

I was wondering about it as well...
I have tried other Carita products & liked them alot.
I should add that although I think that Valmont is a great line, I wasn't impressed with the Elixer. I used 3 consecutive sample "jars" & it didn't even tempt me to buy full size - and I can rationalize any price (if I think I need something bad enough) so that was not an issue! |

Thanks for your answers. I didn't think Elixir was worth the money either, and to think it only stays good for three months is a real turn-off. What Carita products did you like?

I have super oily skin in the summer. One of my staples is the emulsion poudree which is a matte moisturizer that controls oilies. I have also used the masque poudre for the same reason & like it alot. Both are from the Ideal Contole line (which is also anti-aging!)!
P.S. I read that this is where Laura Mercier got her start. |

RuthMarion you have piqued my interest in the emulsion poudree.
Does this work well under sunscreen? I find that alot of matiffying moisturizers sort of "ball up" when I apply sunscreen over them. Do you know where I can find the complete ingredients for this? If not, do you know if this contains alcohol or salicylic acid? Are you using any other products from the Ideal Controle Line? If so what do you think of them?
Thanks. |

Theresa, I haven't had any problems with sunscreen on the emulsion poudree but the more I think of it, this summer when the humidity has spiked I have often used sunscreen on its own - I started using Dr Denese 30spf & it has lots of good anti aging stuff in it too. I've used the two products together, though, & it's been fine.
I also use the mousse perlee & lotion poudree from the ideal controle line but not all of the time. Using it every day I find it a little drying even for me.
Here is the Carita website listing the ingredients in the emulsion poudree.

Thanks RuthMarion. The emulsion does sound like something that I might want to try! I think that I will pass on the cleanser and lotion. I try to avoid any cleansers that will be at all drying even though I have oily skin. |

I am very interested in Carita Perfect Cream as well. However it's so expensive so I would like to see more reviews on it. |
