Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on using an eye cream. Do you apply day / night or both?

Also if you apply it day and night, do you use the same product?

In desperate need of an eye cream/gel for fine wrinkles starting to show (I'm 30 this year) and would be interested to hear what others use.

I use eye cream day and night. For me, it is a must and have used it as a preventative for wrinkles. I have VERY little, and I'm 40+.

For daytime, I use the Dremu Airbrush because it sinks in. For nighttime, I'm currently using PSF's eye cream, but I think I'll switch back to Philosophy. I prefer heavier creams and PSF is good, but not heavy enough for me.

I think it's been said a million times but PSF's cranberry lift eye gel is terrific. I use an eye cream over it in the morning and Cosmedix Eye Believe over it at night. The two best eye creams I've ever used are Chantecaille Anti Stresss and the Cellcosmet eye cream.

Jom, have you tried the Chantecaille Nano Gold Energizing Cream? Or only the anti stress one? Do you feel the line diminishing?

I also will be 30 this year and also have fine lines belos me eyes Sad

I use eye creams both a.m. and p.m. - La Roche Posay with vit.C in the a.m. and Avene Estheal with retinaldehyde (a form of vit.A) in p.m.

I`m having this routine for a month already, but haven`t notice any improvements... I will certainly look further for my HG eye cream. However I plan to stay with Avene vit.A in the p.m., I`m going to try Cellcosmet eye contoure for a.m. - it has so many raves!

I use PSF cranberry phyto lift cream in the morning. At night, I use the cranberry lift cream, let it absorb, then follow up with PSF hydrating eye cream.

The cranberry treatment is a gel and doesn't leave any kind of oily film on my eyelids that can cause eyeshadows to crease.

The hydrating serum leaves eyes very well moisturized and plumps up the fine lines.

I can't do without either of these treatments! Smile

Hi Pink_Apple, I have tried a sample of the Nano Gold, and I think it is way overpriced, I didn't notice that it did anything for my skin. I really like the Anti Stress cream though, it puffs up the lines I have under my eyes. I have to say I have tried a lot of eye creams and the Cellcosmet and the Chantecaille Anti Stress are the only two creams that I've used where I actually noticed a difference in my under eye area. I love the PSF Cranberry Lift gel too and find that it makes a difference as well. But, my absolute favorite is the Chantecaille, it just works for me. It's concentrated so you only need to use the littlest bit, a jar could last a year. They sell it at Neiman Marcus and Barney's, maybe you can go in and ask for a sample.

Ok, more raves about PSF cranberry eye gel (I'm definitely going to have to try it now). I think I'm going to just bit the bullet and order a whole lot of samples from their website.

Thanks again everyone for your advice

Does anyone else use the Clinique one with spf25?
I love how they have the spf since im 20+ and want to start preventing fine lines, but it seems to make the area under my eyebrow dry n flaky sometimes. Not sure if it's that..so I wouldn't recommend it to people unless I'm sure.

I personally think that using an eye cream both day and night is a MUST. I'm 33 now, noticed some fine lines after reaching 30, and have been using eye creams on the heavier side since then cuz eye gels just don't do the trick anymore. I also like to use an eye serum before applying my eye cream. Currently i'm using DDF's Biomolecular Lift Serum (i hope i got the name right) and then layer Cellcosmet eye cream over it. Honestly, I think these 2 products are just ok, didn't seem to do much for me but didn't do any harm otherwise. I'm constantly looking for a better eye care product... right now i'm itching to try PSF's StimuColl-C eye serum.

I try to use both a.m. and p.m. I use Juara Sweet Black Tea Eye Cream. It absorbs so I don't get greasy in the day under makeup.

I use the same eye cream for day & night. I am currently using Valmont's L'Elixir eye cream. It helps me to improve puffines. It is the best eye cream I have ever used.

Just wondering what you think of the anti-wrinkle effects of this Valmont eye cream you are using now. I've considered trying this line but don't seem to hear enough raves so far. Isn't this one of the most expensive eye creams in the market now?

if the eye cream is not too heavy, it could be used at day and night.

Hi ckmini,

Yes, this eye cream is good at reducing wrinkles. Moreover, it can be absorbed by skin quickly. Although it is one of the most expensive eye cteam in the market, it is worth the price.

If you are interested in this eye cream, you can get the information from Valmont's official website:www.valmont.ch

Regards!

I try to apply my eye cream day and night, but I'm planning on buying some powdered Z-Cote to add to it for daytime use. The eye area is the one I'm MOST concerned about as far as sun damage goes, as it's where my first fine lines are cropping up.

I used to never apply during the day because it'd mess with my eye shadow. But now that I've started using Urban Decay Primer Potion, my shadow stays put, eye cream or no!

By the way, the cream I'm so obsessed with now is 100% Pure Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream. There are a couple of threads where people rave about it. Very Happy

I always use eye cream both in the morning and evening. I apply sunscreen separately in the morning. In many cases it is a separate sunscreen for the rest of the face (like SVR 50B) and another one, that does not irritate my very sensitive eyes (like Sofina) for the eyes.

Like Blaze, I also use the 'Airbrush' during the day. I love how it sinks right in.

I apply an anti-oxidant cream in the early evening.

Later at night (I'm a night owl), I then rinse my face and apply my AHA's.

Before beddy bye, I rinse my face with cold/cool water and go to bed without anything on.......If I go to bed with any sort of cream or lotion, I wake up with the 'dreaded bags' worse than ever.

I use an eye cream in the morning (my eye area tends to get dry) and an eye serum in the evening.

Ok, I'm so confused about all the eye creams out there now. I've sort of narrowed it down to a few and it also depends on their price too. I think I want to get 2 eye creams, one heavy duty one for night and a light one with spf during the day. After my research, this is what I came up with:

Day:
DDF or Murad Essential-C eye cream

Night:
Juara sweet Black tea eye cream or
Babor Sensational eye cream

I really can't afford anything above about $60 so if anyone comes up with some more suggestions, I would love to hear from them. I've still got the products sitting in my cart before I make a decision.

I too like the PSF superhydrating eye treatment. I can use this both day and night although I am still finishing my Wink product from Diana Yvonne that I use only at night over CP night eyes. During the day I also use Prescriptives Vibrant C over their Sight Unseen Brightening Concealer.
