Ok so I know it's probably too early for many of you to be talking about Christmas trees and normally it would be for me also, but this year is different. There have been many changes in our home over the past year. We've always had a real Christmas tree, but this year we are going to go with an artificial one. My question is "where to buy the tree." There are quite a few online places to buy, although you never know what you're getting till you get it.  Prices range anywhere from $99 on up into the thousands.  I would like a pre-lit tree (to keep things simple) and am looking for in-expensive (but don't want it to look that way). Soooo, does anyone have suggestions on where to buy one? Anybody have one that they'd recommend? Thanks. |

| I bought one at Target last year. They had lots to choose from and all of the choices were set up so you could see what they looked like. That was nice because pictures on the box would not have worked for me. Michaels craft store also had them up with lots of choices. Those are the only places I looked for trees. I believe mine was $99 for a 6 foot skinny tree, just what I was looking for because of too much furniture and no place to put it to make room for a bigger tree. It would not surprise me if you find just what you are looking for and at a discount price because of the economy. |

| Lowe's and Home Depot usually have some nice pre-lit trees. I bought one of the slim ones last year which I love. |

I don't know if you have a Dillard's in your area but they were running a sale in yesterday's paper with 40% off...fyi

I haven't found a tree yet, but I'll post here when I get one and let everyone know where I got it. |

all those places have a great selection and you get to see them up and lit. I'd never buy without actually seeing. Pictures of trees can look real pretty on paper.
I bought mine in my high end grocery store and it's wonderful. Had a natural tree for years - even went in to the woods at times but as time passes that got a little old and the kids weren't into it and finally I succumbed!  But now I'm okay with it. Just one of those things that the passage of time does. |
