I haven't looked into supplements for spots, but I did read this from Liz Earle:
If you have spots, consider vitamin A (Vitamin A by Health Aid, £5.99 for 100 capsules) and zinc with copper to help heal acne and prevent scarring (Zinc With Copper by Nature’s Own, £8.15 for 50 tablets). |

I would never consider taking supplements to attain good skin. Use topical products first. It has been shown time and time again and documented that only benzoyl peroxide in a 1-2% strength rids skin of acne. I would start there and eat the right foods to maintain good skin. |

I thought benzoyl peroxide had been linked to scarring etc with long term use? I remember reading about it on SkinBio's forum. I would instead use Retin A perhaps as that was designed originally for acne sufferers!
I think supplements will help but for me the thing would be to drink lots of water to help your body rid itself of toxins and then maybe use something like the post above suggests, but maybe a more general multivit/mineral. Also I would pay attention to see if there are any trigger foods you eat that cause the acne to flare up. Salt for example is a major one for me. If I have a bag of crips, the next day my skin really lets me know about it.
