Hi all,
I have just started getting into the DIY and am looking at getting Vitamin E - was wondering whether anyone can tell me whether the synthetic is as good as the natural stuff?
thanks in advance |

Happy.girl, from my research:
"Natural vitamin E contains alpha-tocopherol exclusively in an active form.
Synthetic vitamin E (sometimes referred to as dl-alpha-tocopherol) contains both active and inactive forms of alpha-tocopherol."
You are definitely better off going with the all-natural alpha tocopherol. |

Anyone know if the vitamin E oil sold at CVS & Walgreens is any good for formulating? |

I think it is better to do more search on Vitamin E. It may cause heart attack if I remember correctly. |

I use natural in vegicaps and open one up and add that...that way my vit e supply stays fresh and I can take the supplements too...I had found that when I bought a bottle to add to creams it took ages to use it all and then I just threw it away because I was worried it had expired |

Happy New Year!
What are the benefits of using straight Vitamin E on the skin? I have been using the DIY vitamin C serum in the mornings (simple version: just water and C) and wanted to use vitamin E oil after the serum absorbed to moisturize.
thanks, |

Natural vitamin E contains alpha-tocopherol exclusively in an active form.
The natural form is always better than synthetic. Vitamin E is ranked as one of the best actives for skin health. The natural form has alphatocopherol in the stronger form and therefore is a better choice. |
