I'm finally getting a much needed break from all of this SNOW & will be living on a boat in the Carribean for a couple of weeks. Don't want to undo what I've accomplished in the last few mos so what sunscreen will guard my skin and not cause skin issues? I know there's not just one for everybody however you girls always seem to have the right answers. Anyway would appreciate your input, thx. |

Are you looking for a physical or chemical sunscreen? |

If you are lookin for a good physical sunscreen, I love Devita's. I use their Solar Protective Moisturizer 30 for the face and Solar Block (30) for the body. I haven't had any hyperpigmentation since using their products. I'm envious of you...sounds like a great vacation! |

3rd.oculus-I don't know what you mean by physical or chemical. Will you explain pls. Thx.
mountaingirl-I failed to mention we'll be in the water a great deal snorkeling etc so I'll need something h20proof. Devita, order that on line? I notice it's physical, the difference? Is it h20proof? |

Yes, order Devita online...just google. No, its not waterproof. If you wear mineral makeup, you want a physical sunscreen (mineral based,) but if you wear "regular" makeup you want to use a chemical sunscreen. Chemical sunscreens are just that, made of chemicals. Physical are made up of minerals like zinc and titanium oxide. Maybe someone more knowledgeable will step in to better explain that. |
