I just completed day two of my CP Serum...I was wondering if those of you who have tried CPs...(not so much the people using the creams) experienced itching? Was it mainly at just at the beginning of starting or did it continue during the entire time of using CPs?
My itching is better after I put on the EMU oil or I'd be concerned. I read some posts on the Skinbiology website forum which said itching for hours at a time is when you need to be concerned. Can someone confirm this or give me additional information? |

Are you using Regular CP serum or Super? Are you diluting the CP's with water and starting slowly or did you apply them full strength? How much are you applying?
Generally CP's will not irritate your skin or cause itching unless you are using too strong of a strength that you have not gradually worked up to or if you applying too much, too often.
The only other possibility that you may need to consider is that copper peptides do not agree with you or that you are very sensitive to them. |

I had itching for awhile when I first started using CP's even with diluting it. It will eventually go away as your skin aclimates.
As fairlady says it's important to dilute the serum for awhile and to start slowly. |

Never had itching but then I started off with the weakest solution and when that was used up, went to the next stronger and so on. Now I use Skin Signals. |

Ok thank you. I am diluting them by quite a bit. I'm diluting them 50/50 for under the eye area and thats not itching. I'm diluting them for the face 5 drops CP Serum/ 3 drops water. I have very normal skin.
Like i said it only itches for a bit so I just waned to make sure it will go away after I get used to it. Sounds like thats the case. I'd rather it not itch every night for the rest of my time using CPs Glad the EMU oil helps as well...
Thanks for the responses |

I had itching when I first started with CP's and even some irritation at the base of my neck. That went away with moisturization (shea butter healed the irritation), and now (a year later) I don't ever have a problem with either. |

The only time I get itching is when I use the Follligen Cream on my lashes and brows. It's only temporary and goes away quickly. When I apply CPs to other areas I don't have a problem. |

I also had a tingling/itching sensation for the first couple days of use (diluted) and then again when I started applying undiluted. I believe this is normal. |

No Problem flgirl! I have been using CPs since December and I love it! My skin has tightened up quite a bit. I dont mind the occasional itchy.
Good luck! |

Another question though, did any of you have a puffy face when you woke up? I think it's probably because it's just close to TMO but not sure........ |

I keep it away from my eyes entirely. My problem areas are my forehead (lines), neck and jaw. |

Just a thought flgirl, have you tested the product anywhere else say inside of elbow or behind your ear (on neck) just to check if you react? |

In the beginning I had days where I certainly looked worse...some puffiness mainly around eyes or slackening of skin. This would resolve by backing off CP use for a day or two or alternating with a milder P&R cream.
I don't experience this anymore and I mainly use the Skin Signals solution now. I would probably go through the same thing again if I increased the strength though.
Good luck flgirl, I think CP's are worth the adjustment period many go through. |
