Hi Everyone,
This started to be discussed on the RevaleSkin Intense Serum thread, but I thought it might be best moved to its own thread.
I've been using the RevaleSkin Intense Serum, which contains 1.5% CoffeeBerry in my battle against redness/flushing I experience. So far, the RevaleSkin is helping, but it is very expensive ($130 for 1oz here on EDS).
I just received Topix Replenix Power Of Three Serum to start trying it at well. My choice was based on the recommendation by Amonavis on a Rosacea thread http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?p=6390800&highlight=revaleskin#6390800. For any of you interested in trying the Topix Replenix Power of 3, it is on sale right now atwww.eskincare.com It is MUCH cheaper than the RevaleSkin Intense Serum. Here is the link:
http://www.eskincarestore.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=2433&idproduct=18105
The Topix Power of 3 doesn't have CoffeeBerry. According to its description ... This cream is a triple antioxidant powerhouse composed of 90% polyphenol isolates derived from green tea, resveratrol and fortified with caffeine USP. These ingredients help to minimize the harmful effects caused by free radicals.
Thanks Amonavis - your recommendation has certainly started me thinking about Coffeeberry and Caffeine, because the RevaleSkin is the first time I've had anything work for me. It is too early for me to comment on whether the Topix Replenix Power of 3 is going to work as well for me; I've used it for the first time this morning. It has a different consistency than the RevaleSkin Intense Serum. It isn't as creamy and it doesn't seem to be as moisurizing. I like it better than the RevaleSkin for an AM product under my moisturizers. If it gives me the same results as the Revale Skin, I'll be saving the RevaleSkin Intense Serum for a PM product and the Topix Power of 3 for an AM product. This is what Amonavis was doing as well.
I started looking for cheaper Coffee Berry products and found some at Garden of Wisdom. I haven't tried any of them yet, so I can't speak to their performance, but the Summer Serum product from GOW actually has 5% Coffee Berry; this is the strongest I've found. It has gotten good reviews both on the GOW site and with a blogger I found. I've attached the blogger reviews for your info:

The other GOW product that has Coffee Berry is the Cloudberry Serum. Here is the link as well as a review from the same blogger. She compares both the Sumer Serum and the Cloud berry. She prefers the Summer Serum.

GOW's Redness Be Gone serum also contains caffeine as well as other ingredients. I have tried it in the past and didn't find it did anything for my skin; however, I also probably didn't use it anywhere near long enough. I don't tend to have a lot of patience with products. If I don't see any improvement withint a week or two, I normally give up on them. But ... it is a popular product, so I wanted to bring it to your attention:

I've decided to order the GOW Summer Serum (with 5% coffee berry) and the Skin Motivator Serum (with caffeine) to try.

Are you not using the Revaleskin Instense serum and happy with it? Why use something else? Because of the price?
I've tried a few GOW proucts but was not impressed very much. I think, they do not use enough actives to be effective. But this is just my opinion. I love their oils though! |

Hi RussianSunshine !
I have absolutely no complaints about the RevaleSkin Intense Serum, but I do find it expensive. I actually ordered the Topix Replenix Power of 3 the same day I ordered the RevaleSkin Intense. The company I had ordered it from were backordered on the Topix, so I only got it in yesterday. It took a really long time. I was following Amonavis' recommendation and planning on doing the same thing as her - Topix AM and Revaleskin PM.
Because the Revaleskin is very expensive, I thought I'd try the GOW Summer Serum. It is so much cheaper that if it works, I'd happily switch to it, or at least rotate it with the Revaleskin to make it last longer. It is going to take at least 2, if not 3-4wks, before I receive the GOW serum. By that point, I will have been using the Revaleskin for close to 6wks. I am hoping that if I alternate every second night with the GOW, I will still see the same results. If not, I'll continue with RevaleSkin on its own.
I've only used a couple GOW products and experienced the same thing as you did. While they didn't hurt my skin, I didn't find that they did much for it. I wasn't sure whether I had used them long enough. Because there is a higher percentage of Coffee Berry in the GOW serum, I was hopeful that it would help me extend my RevaleSkin.
The other thing about the Revaleskin is that it may be too much for a summer product. It is quite moisturizing for this time of year, but will likely be too much for me in the heat of the summer. It will always be a great winter product, but not necessarily a summer one. I'm thinking the Topix will be fine - but it doesn't have the coffee berry; it is caffeine. For anyone who has oily skin, I think the Revaleskin Intense would definitely be too much for daytime use. |

Time2Bme, I dare to suspect it is not all about the % , but a combination of ingredients that work together much better in Revaleskin Instense Serum than in other products. But since GOW Serum costs only $20, it's worth giving it a chance. |

That's what I thought. I figured at $20 it wasn't a big investment and worth a try. I do think that the the Revaleskin Intense Serum is a great product.
I should also mention that I tried the Priori Night Cream, which also has Coffeeberry. It didn't work anywhere near as well as the RevaleSkin. If the ingredients in the RevaleSkin are of concern than I think it is definitely a product worth trying ... but I didn't notice any significant results with Priori; whereas I noticed a definite improvement with RevaleSkin. |

I've used the Topix Replenix Power of 3 serum for 4 mornings now. I am sticking with the RevaleSkin Intense Serum for PM. I really like the Power of 3 so far. If they were equally priced, I'd pick the RevaleSkin Intense, but seeing as the Power of 3 is less than 1/2 the price it is definitely worth using.
I think they work equally well on redness. I have only used the Power of 3 for 4 days, but my face is still continuing to improve. My period is due today; normally that means a week of very red skin for me. I had one day of red burning skin, but even then it wasn't as bad as it normally is.
Most companies only seem to have the Power of 3 Cream now, not the serum. I had ordered a bottle of the serum from eskinstore.com and was told that the item is backordered with no expected date. All of the U.S. based companies seem to only have the Power of 3 cream. I ended up ordering a Power of 3 cream fromwww.drskinspa.com. If your order is over $55, you get 15% off. Many of the other companies that had it for that price was only because of a Cyber Monday sale. The price really varies on this product, so if you're from the U.S. it is definitely worth shopping around for the best price. I'll post my thoughts on the cream once I receive it. It won't likely be for quite awhile. I had it sent to a friend's place ... so it won't be crossing the border for quite some time !! |

I'm impressed with the customer service atwww.drskinspa.com. The order was shipped the next day and arrived at my friend's house less than a week later. Their prices also seem to be one of the lowest.
The Topix Replenix Power of 3 appears to be working. I'm still noticing a steady improvement on my flushing. Of the two, I do think that Revaleskin Intense Serum is better; however using the Power of 3 in the AM and the Revaleskin in the PM appears to be working fine. Considering that the Power of 3 is SO much cheaper, I'm going to continue with this routine. I'm hoping that the cream won't be too much when I combine it with my KH Camomile cream that I use in the AM. I wish that the serum was still an option. |

Just reporting back ... both the Power of 3 in the AM and Revale Skin Intense at night are continuing to do the job.
If both were the same price, I'd recommend the Revale Skin Intense over the Power of 3 ... but both products are definitely helping. |

Hi Time2Bme. I am glad these products are working out for you! I am continuing with my regimen as well. Just a question, how many pumps of each are you using? I never use more than one pump of Power of three but sometimes I indulge in 2 pumps of the Revaleskin. By the way I dont use the Revaleskin Intense serum, I use the Night Cream. It seems to be cheaper and is also a bit bigger than the intense serum. It has worked for me, so if you are concerned about the price maybe that would help. |

Hi Amonavis
I am using one pump of both Power of 3 and Revaleskin. I may try the RevaleSkin Night Cream next time.
Have you tried the new Power of 3 Cream? When I ordered, they didn't have the serum anymore, so I ordered the cream. I haven't used it yet.
I received my GOW products - Skin Motivator and Summer Serum. I don't think they are anything special. I definitely think the Revaleskin is the better coffeeberry product. My skin looks better within minutes of applying it. I don't see that with the GOW products.
Because they are so much cheaper, I think it is definitely worth trying ... but I won't be ordering them again for myself. |

Not a replacement for your products but if you have major redness/flushing (even sunburn) and need to look your best there is a cheap home remedy that also works on recently waxed areas.
Take a wash cloth (smaller areas use cotton squares) soak in ICE COLD milk and apply to the whole face or just reddened area for 15-20 minutes rinse off with cold water and voilą red is gone! Great when you have a special occasion! |

I wanted to update the thread now that I've had the opportunity to try the Power of 3 cream. I REALLY like it. I prefer it to the serum. I had to use approximately a pump and a half to cover my whole face. It is very thin, but leaves your skin feeling really moisturized.
Lately I have been finding that my skin has improved so much that I am having to tweek my AM routine. I have been using the Power of 3 serum under a KH oxygen cream. The KH creams are a bit too much for me in the AM right now. My skin feels like it has too much cream on it. The Power of 3 cream is absorbed into my skin better than the serum. My skin was left feeling soft, but not greasy.
I am still using the RevaleSkin Intense Serum at night ... and am still very happy with it. I have seen a definite improvement in the redness on my skin; however, I know that I also have to adjust my diet. December has been a bit of a write off and it has shown up in my skin. My skin is a bit redder than it has been.
I also discovered that drinking green tea makes a difference in the flushing and redness I experience. January will be 'get back on track time' for me. Less sugar and hot tea and more green tea !! |

I also find that my redness worsens in the winter but it is due to the cold and the wind and I don't think that any topical will prevent that completely. One thing that I do is use much thicker moisturizers to provide a shield against the elements, and a thicker night cream so that my skin barrier has the opportunity to repair. I really like the Cerave cream at night, it is cheap, basic, and layers well over my other products. |

Yes I actually have never used the Power of Three serum, it is the cream I have used. I find that the "cream" is more of a serum though, and it seems to absorb right away. |

ITA Amonavis. I actually prefer the cream to the serum. The cream seems to absorb quicker on me than the serum does.
Thanks again for your post on both the Power of 3 and the RevaleSkin. I've been using both because of your recommendation and really like them. |

Having used Priori, Revaleskin and GOW I will say Revaleskin does the most for the money.
But I have also loved Russell Organics SeaBuckthorn Oil as well for my rosacea and flushing. Great value for the money and a teeny bit goes a long way.
Everything I have ordered from GOW (and I have tried SO MANY SAMPLES) has just been okay to blah. Disapointing on the already made up versions. |

I second Annie's opinion on this, I have purchased some DIY ingredients and of course a few of their pre-made products magically made it into my cart, plus they sent samples. I was not impressed, maybe great at 20-30 but nothing but mediocre for my more mature skin. |
